Mike Miller ?

Hey still alive. Had a couple of surgeries to put spine back together but doing well now. I am told I died on operating table twice but I don't remember anything

gettinh house ready to sell so I can move out of California. Love the place hate the politics. Looking in western Florida in May. Tampa Bay Area up to hour in any direction.

Still selling slings. Still shooting

Good to hear! I still miss a rifle I had that started as yours. Closest to cool I will ever be Bought it from another CO member years back. A Rem 700 in a Manners T1 stock, straight up hammer. Sold it to a sheriffs deputy out grand junction way a few years ago.

My folks just spent the winter an hour north of Tampa near Port Richie. Sounds decent to me. Close to some quiet areas if thats what you are looking for.

Good to see you back!
Glad your doing better an getting out of there. You still shooting F-Class?
What happened to "Tactical" ?
I'm getting mine ready to sell as well, want to move closer to the Bama/Fla/Ga line.
Tampa is OK but, north of it is better, to me. Lived in Pasco an Sumter co's an still miss Sumter. At least you will be much closer to SniperCraft there, j-huskey an others still go for scoring/teaching an such. Hope to see you when you get closer as I still have kin down there an visit from time to time.

Could not get old account to work. Most likely my fault. Still shooting F Class. Because of needed surgeries I took myself off USA Team but still shooting for Savage. If you see that commercial of Stan Pate shooting a Savage over a mile. I was calling wind and spotting but too ugly for a close up. Lol

Never heard a target complain it was wrong, to be shot by an ugly gun, shooter or spotter. LOL
Guess the shooting sports advertisers, are into the image thing as well, but remember what the past AMU C/O said once. Went something like this " I can train a monkey to shoot, the rest of the task is a much harder".
Good to see you back.

Well in this case Stan is as good as it gets shooting or calling the wind. Really honored to be on same team as he is. We work well together. In a to released commercial he is calling for me while I shoot a 22 at long range. We could have shot 22 even longer but Scope was out of adjustment and used up hold over on Reticule as well. We have new scopes for next time. Want 600 plus yards with stock 22

My 16" 22lr is zeroed at the top thick/thin but even with all the ret an all dialed I run out at 450-475 depending mother, with the Aguila 60gr subs. However I can pull the trigger (can on) lay the gun down then hear the faint tink on steel (better sound on plywood) on a clam day. What ammo/speed you guys shooting?

One thing I have found is the Federal Gold Medal 22LR. match that starts out subsonic actually groups better way out there than ammo that starts supersonic

I mostly shoot the CCI 40gr Standard Vol, or Aguila 60 gr ( both in a 9 twist barrel) The CCI Velocitors an Aguila Interceptors both shoot well to 450 but both prefer the 16 twist barrel. The Aguila 30gr leaving at 1710 (advertised) is a drill to 75 (16 twist) but the groups open to past #3 wash tub quickly there after. Those are hard on small game, an will kill a Armadillo DRT w/o them getting the last jump. LOL They have been used with success on much larger game as well.

Glad you are back.

Just one of those thing between medical things I quit posting. No real reason

I slowed way down at the end before the scout move, and heard from a guy they were moving back here. Glad they did an hope most of the old gang shows back up. Seen Huskey a few weeks back an his issues are about the same. Will see him an a few other old "Hiders" again in about 3 weeks at HardRock, as in May they have two match's. My shooting is coming back, as my chemo is over with. The lost of my wife still affects me but is gets a little easier as time goes by. Bill an I talk at length sometimes and that helps a lot. Even though there are times we both talk about things that my sig applies to, LOL

You ever decide on comm's gear?

My mother used to live in St. Petersburg Beach (not St. Pete itself)
It was a really nice area.
I shot at a pistol club in Tampa many years ago, lots of really nice folks.
The Gulf coast of Florida is really nice.
The one thing that sucks about Florida is having to pay to drive on the roads
