And, yes, this was someone who wanted to prove.... a steel toed boot would stop a .45. Then again... looks to me like he missed the steel part.

I agree. Ive worn many steel toed boots, which incidentally seem to promote ingrown toenails, and it looks like he hit the very rear of the cup. Alcohol, perhaps. Stupid, for certain..
 
Just wondering why it never occurred to this wizard that he could test his theory while, say, NOT wearing the boot!

Because you could test this while wearing socks. With your foot.... safely out of the boot.

Nah... .where is the fun in that!
