Ive been interested in these since they came out. Just curious why I am seeing these retail at $499, are they being discontinued for a new model on the horizon?

Which is great, as long as the company is actually in business.
SiCo let a very large number of employees go a number of months ago, began their $200 rebate shortly after and then SWR is probably hitting the can as well. I'll just guess SiCo is under some financial pressures at the moment...hopefully they can rebound and stay around, just hard to tell.
Regardless, I'm still waiting for my Hybrid to get out of ATF jail later this year.
With the Radius now being around $500 for a while, I've made the thought about getting one, but it kills me you can't use it as a traditional range finder unless it's mounted up. That being said, not having to transition between gun and RF, all while having each intertwined for zero, is pretty slick and useful.
I suppose its a good price. If it went tits up, Id only be out $460, vs $1K, big difference. I can see just attaching it to a spotter and using it that way too. lots to consider..
SilencerCo bet the farm on HPA passing with in the first 90 days of Trump being president and they lost the that bet hard. I would like to think in the end they will survive but they are in trouble right now for sure. As stated 1/2 their workforce was laid off in march I believe.
