Does anyone else here have an eery feeling that something is going down soon? With the North Korea thing, Syrian and russian thing, Antifa communist anarchists, Black Lives Matter and other racial tensions, muslim sharia law sympathisers, European and Nordic terrorist attacks, and etc. It just feels unsafe and strange to leave the house. I'm a young man who didn't live during the cold war, and was young during 9/11 so this is the first time I've ever felt this way really. Racism and violence seems to be acceptable towards just average white people these days, just based on skin tone and if were wearing a red hat. And our president is a joke to most people and all news sites with a target on his back and thus Americas. I don't necessarily think we are all going to die in all out nuclear warfare, but I have a sense of eeriness that terrorist attacks and mass killings by radicals are going to start becoming normal in America by our own citizens. Possibly a mini civil war fought by guerilla warfare. As someone who wanted to get into the precision rifle hobby I'm now considering using my savings to buy an AR-15 and Glock for home protection even though i won't enjoy them nearly as much. I just feel like the world in general is regressing and people are more uneducated and violent than ever before, with easier ways to spread hate and propaganda than ever before.

I hope this doesn't make me sound crazy, i'm not a militia or prepper type and the only milspec gear i own is a pair of boots for hiking. But maybe that's why i feel vulnerable. Interested in hearing older guy's opinions on this.

Feels like there is a storm coming. I know several folks who are docile but drifting towards a harder stance and attitude towards the shit we are seeing today in the news and on our streets.
I am gimpy but ready. We have a solid plan in this household and enough ammo for a notable dust up. We will be alright here.

The country has been screwed up before and survived.

Think about Shea's Rebellion, the Civil War, the New Deal Era, the 60s.

People went as far as trying to enlist Gen. Smedley Butler to lead a coup against Roosevelt.

Things felt safer during the Cold War. The enemy was external for the most part.

Still its not a time to be complacent and expect the ship to right itself.

Our tendency is to avoid conflict, that's a good thing, but we need to get better at confronting BS with facts and educate people when you can.

So when you are in the barber shop and someone starts with "This Trump guy...." listen to them and than destroy them with facts. This will work with the people that are "normal" otherwise but incapable of independent thought.

The Antifa people are not politically aligned. The are just renamed anarchists hired to do the "work" that the typical skinny jeans wearing liberal wont do. The left is pissing its money away attempting to gain political power but they are not realizing gains. I think they are going to resort to illegitimate means more as they become more desperate. Eventually they wont be paying antifa anymore and its likely what they created will revert to its original form and turn on them.

I think its good that while all the "noise" is involved with Trump/Russia BS, DHS and DOJ are gearing up and doing Gods work. John Kelly especially seems to be doing a good job.

Syria - Quagmire, Im not sure we are supporting the right side. Assad may be an asswipe but he is a secular asswipe. Its not our job to remove "mean" people and replace them with chaos.

Russia - An enemy created by the Democrat Party. The Dems are putting the world in jeopardy in hopes of holding on to power. Putin is another "mean" guy but his concern is greed and trying to hold together an expansive diverse country. Its been one generation from the CCCP. They have their issues to deal with but the people now know a taste of freedom they haven't had since the revolution. Putin needs to control the oligarchs that rule regions of Russia and he has to deal with an islam problem same as we have. Keep Europe from trying to steal his resources as they go broke and he wont be playing bad ass with the republics on his western border.

North Korea - time to tell China that if they want to be considered a "normal" country than they have to deal with "nuke boy". or they have to let us deal with "nuke boy". South Korea likely does not want to deal with absorbing NK. This would be a big drain on getting anything positive done domestically regards tax reform, immigration, health care etc......America wont be first the Korea issue will. Clintoon should have handled this issue in the 90s instead of banging Monica because this is going to be a real problem soon.

Iraq/Afghanistan - Before even thinking about Korea these need to go away. We screwed up Iraq by making it a proxy war of our political parties, unsure how you disengage without creating a bigger problem. We have let corruption take firm hold and let guys not really concerned with our interests gain political power. Afghanistan - our sole strategy should have been "kill bin laden" and we promise you nothing else except a storm of guided missiles should another 9/11 ever be planned within their territory again. Nation building is not a mission for our military. Let the State Dept take the casualties if that is what they want to do.
