Im going to chamber my next gun in a 6 creedmoor. Looking for input as to what fb and neck dimensions to shoot 105/110 bullets in prs. I would like the loaded round to be mag length. Thanks.
I just use hornady with the micrometer head. I sacrificed a few bullets and lapped the seating nose to the 110 bullet and its been spot on every round. I also had to drill the depth in the seating stem to accomodate the pointier 110s.
never ussed another brand so idk if anything works better but for the cost and minimal work its great.
the FB die works on my standard sammi spec body reamer.
I use Redding FL body die and Comp Seating die and have had no issues. I was shooting the 105Hy but am now shooting 115DTAC with very good results. Both were very accurate. I am able to get 1/3moa with either bullet out of my AI-AX.
You'll need a .183 Freebore reamer for the 110s. I've been messing with the SAAMI spec reamed chamber....and its amazing with necked down lapua brass & 110s.
The sierra 110 grain bullets i have work just fine with standard 105 lenght free bores. I shoot these new sierras a lot in my 6 creedmoor and they are great. I have a good proven 6 creedmoor reamer if you are needing any help. thanks Lee
110 ideal FB is ~ 150 (else the bullet is pushing into the case), the 115 DTAC is ~ 180 ... I am going 183 *SAAMI SPEC" as will shoot mostly 115s DTACS and 110 SMKs (and i found the 110s like a big jump in my dasher)

What is your coal for this chamber with the 105 or 110's? What is the reamer neck dimension, and what brass are you using? Do you have to turn your necks?
thanks

105 VLD'S with.109 FB here.
I'm about 2.020" base to ogive with hunting VLD's, but it depends on what tool you use to measure as well. I use the Sinclair hex comparator.
my COAL is around 2.736" at .005" off the lands.. that's where I run the VLD's
haven't measured a 110 SMK in this chamber yet.
I think the shorter FB works good to chase lands and not worry about mag space.
