No ability to enter Sight Scale Factor in Kestrel 5700 elite with AB software

Given how important doing a tall target test is for a scope, why hasn’t Applied Ballistics included this feature in the Kestrel?
Seems like doing this calculation with every firing solution would get cumbersome, especially in a competition setting with unknown distance targets.

If you go on AB's website you can download the AB profile loader that will let you enter the SSF for elevation and windage for your rifle scope, but you have to have either the data transfer cable or the Bluetooth dongle that will let you download the profiles to your Kestrel unit. Now for the million dollar question. Does the Kestrel unit actually factor in the SSF when done this way? I honestly don't know I would assume that it would, but maybe someone from AB or Kestrel can chime in and give a solid answer. @Kestrel Ballistics @DocUSMCRetired

This feature is in the AB Elite Engine, which is in the Kestrel.

All you need to do is send them an email requesting the feature.

I did - and I got a quick response acknowledging the request, and that they've seen the request before, but could not offer a timeline to implementation (which is understandable). More people requesting same shouldn't hurt anything

So, if N-K writes the code to give you a way to set the correction factor, it can plug right into the ballistic engine and will work with no action on the AB end of things.

I am glad SSF was going to be included. I see last mention was Jul 2020. I hope it's soon.
