I just took a peek at the Cherry Ridge 2018 Range Schedule, and I couldn't find the listing for the MCL Carlos Hathcock Match. Did I misread, is it no longer being shot, or what?

It usually scheduled for the last Sunday in October. I might be they just haven't posted it yet.
I remember that match being run by the Marine Corps League, even before they moved it to October.

Yep, that was my recollection and you're probably about the timing of the schedule postings.
FWIW, I was the MCL NJ Shooting Competition Chairman who was one of the four guys who started "The Carlos" back in that dim past.
My concern here was that I was worrying that it might have come to its end; and that would have saddened me greatly.
One should not have one's offspring die before oneself.

I shot once alongside Emil Praslic Jr in one of the early Carlos matches. He was a lot of fun and we had some good laughs in the pits pulling targets for that match.
I shot in the MCL's Qualification Match one year following an invitation from a couple guys with the Hudson County detachment. That was a fun match and I still have the Expert badge that they gave me afterwards.
I too hope that those matches are still annual events up at Cherry Ridge.

I was the team Captain of the West Hudson Detachment until my departure for Upstate NY in 1998.

The Hathcock match is still active. It is scheduled for late October. last year it was cancelled the night before due to a " forecast of heavy rain " . I was one of the few dummies who showed up to shoot because i didn't get the cancellation memo. The morning of the match was sunny, clear skies and no rain. " Pissed off " is an understatement !
That's right ! This time i'm going to bring the stinky Italian ones.
