Unfortunately that just led to California banning open carry, something that didn't happen years ago when the Black Panthers did it at the Capitol.

The fact is that one guy who was stupid sued for a CCW permit in San Diego in the wrong jurisdiction which circumvented an ongoing case in a better jurisdiction. CGF was forcing counties to go shall issue one by one and that one loss in court messed that all up.
Chances are I would be able to get a permit today if that idiot hadn't screwed that up.
OC was not a battle worth fighting because we already had it, it was the GFSZs that made it impractical and you can't fight that by open carrying at Starbucks.
