Just picked up an MRO from ebay for $339 free shipping, then with another 10% off from the last coupon. Even without the coupon, this is the best price I've seen for a new unit. I believe they still have some more left if anyone is interested. I'm kinda puzzled because I saw dudes bidding up used units for higher than this, and it is right there in front of their faces. Anyway, if you want a new MRO, check it out:

Curious how it turns out. I bought an MRO patrol and the "red dot" is more of a fuzzy line. Not sure how they are supposed to look, but can't say that I'm impressed.

I like it, especially at less than half price of an aimpoint

I'll take a pic, my Meprolight looked fine to my eye. My buddy bought one as well and his looked the same(to both of us). I only gave $469.99. So I was wondering if they had a bad run or if they were going to discontinue or change them.
If there is any question, just call trijicon. They back their stuff usually no questions asked.

I have bad and increasingly bad eyes, so Aimpoints are now all starbursts (sold all mine), the MRO is a useless blur, etc. etc. It may be your eyes.

But if you normally have no issues with RDS's, and others see the same with your specific sight, take Trijicon up on their service.

I've read a ton of horror stories on counterfeit optics from eBay - does anyone know if this seller is legit? I've running 2 MROs now (light weight franken-AR & B&T TP9 SBR), and while I'd rather have more T1/T2s, the MRO is a solid buy imo.

I didn't post anything until I got mine in the mail for that very reason. I figured I'd take the beach for everyone here and then give you all the heads up. Mine is legit, as I can tell from the unit itself, but also the box, warranty, instructions, cloth, etc. Buy with confidence

Plus, the seller has sold something around 500 of these and has all positive feedback. Hacks get banged out with negative feedback; eBay is pretty good like that

Thanks for the link, been looking for one for a good price!

Another thing worth mentioning is that in reviews of the MRO, people had complained about there being some magnification and a fish eye effect. The Scalarworks website mentions with their optic/mount bundle deals, • NEW improved 89k+ serial # MRO with reduced magnification. My serial is >89k, so these are the newer versions.

with careful study both of my units exhibit some magnification, more than my T1/T2/Pro. but, when at the range, even stationary at a bench or barricade, the traces of this cannot be noticed by my eyes/brain combo. it's certainly less noticeable than the minimal magnification that some 1-x LPVs have.

my main criticism of the MRO is that it doesn't have the battery life of an aimpoint. the battery on my PRO is going strong after 3+ years, mostly in the safe - which isn't as long as my T1. I've gotten in the habit of replacing the battery in my MROs once per year. This is a VERY minor deal, just annoying.
