Gunsmithing Howa 1500 300 Win Mag scope base ?

I have just purchased a Howa in 300 Win Mag with a 26" barrel that I put in a MDT chassis. I am putting a precision armament m41 muzzle break on it. I also purchased a Nightforce 20 MOA scope base to put on, however I didnt know it didnt have a recoil lug. Could this cause me problems? I am going to bed the base as there is just enough light coming through that I feel its neccessary. Any help is greatly appreciated.

likely won't be an issue. You COULD have it pinned by a gunsmith. I don't know of anyone making a lugged base for Howa.

So, at the potential of sounding dumb, are you asking about a recoil lug on the scope base? I have the same barreled action (also going in an MDT chassis) that I bought THIS scope base (currently not in stock).

Nope Broham thats exactly what i was looking for. And its steel...BONUS! How was the fit on the Howa?

I thought it fit really well, but again, I'm new to this so take my comments with a grain of salt. I couldn't see any light coming through so I didn't bed the base.
