Glock Talk- founder calls it quits

Not hard to start another Internet forum. Obviously there is some financial resources available to forums otherwise large conglomerates wouldn't be buying them up en masse.

^^^^^ This.

Frank tried the Scout thing, from my understand to cut down his admin BS time so he could focus more on the content, which we all love the vids and education he puts out there for us.
Scout sucked so he moved back. He never sacrificed the reins so some asshat only looking for a paycheck and making investors happy would have a say.

Smart moves.

I was on Glock Talk in the early years... I had to leave.....

But just like Frontsight is for beginner shooters....... Glock Talk reached a lot of newer shooters....

I get why the hide moved away and moved back.....

There is a downside to companies racking up debt- Remington and colt- If it does not work, they can lose their company

First gun forum I ever joined was the Benelli shotgun forum when I used to be big into shotgun sports then I joined The Firing Line when I got more into shooting pistols and rifles. When I got serious about long range shooting I got lead here and I haven't looked back. TFL was ok, for a while, but when I got a temporary ban for WTF I haven't logged back in sense and I am talking about the acronym WTF not actually typing out WHAT THE FUCK........WTF.......LOL

Same happened to me at the 1911 forum. Never saw a group of people so easily offended. I'm not sure most were even gun owners.

The 1911Forum gave me like the funniest ban ever back when I was like 15 or 16. Back then lots of gun forums were banning anyone under 18 and then giving bullshit reasons why they did it because they didn't want to seem like they're against young shooters. Anyways, I had made a thread about a new CO2 pistol I picked up at Wal-Mart and I showed off both a pic of the gun and also my target groupings. From what I remember all the posts were very positive. Then the next day I log in to check the thread and I get a message telling me I'm banned and the reasoning why was for "promoting illegal weapons". Still to this day that makes me laugh. Wish I would have kept the screenshot.
