I tried a search on this exact scope but didn't find anything. Found this for clearance at Cabela's -- Athlon Cronus FFP 1-6X in MIL or MOA, MIL has exposed elevation turret, MOA has capped turret. Looks like a discontinued model. Anybody tried one of these? Opinion/experience?

I tested the FFP mrad version a while back. I liked it a fair bit. They are well made scopes with really solid optical and mechanical quality. At 1x, the illumination could be brighter, but it worked well enough in anything but the brightest light.

I ended up sticking with the Burrsi XTR II 1-8x24 which I liked a touch more, but if you foudn a good deal, FFP Athlon is a really solid option.

Utterly Outstanding! For 3-Gun, or just Clang and Bang you will love this one. Roll across the ground, climb through obstacles, beat the crap out of it against objects or barrels. It holds its zero and is crystal clear during the entire match.

Pulled the trigger on this, with Cabela's 10% off and gift card, this price is difficult to pass up. I hope it doesn't disappoint. Well if it does I'll return it to the store. Will update once I get it.

Definitely let us know what you think of it. I love mine. I think you’ll be very happy!

Scope arrived. Feels hefty. The most surprising feature is that the elevation dial has 50 mils in 2.5 turns, I can’t say I have ever held a scope that has that much dial in it.

Optically it appears decent, will need some range time to actually tell. Reticle is usable at both 1x and 6x. I will test it side by side against sig tango6, zeiss conquest v6 and vortex razor gen ii e, all in 1-6x. Prelimiary conclusion — it is definitely worth the asking price at Cabela’s with the 10% off and gift card discount. It didn’t wow me like the first time I looked through a vortex razor gen ii, but it is not a $1400 scope either.

Clicks are audible and well defined. Not Kahles well-defined but almost. Tactical turrets for both elevation and windage.
