I have a 300 Blackout pistol with a 10.5” barrel. It’s just a simple barrel but I’m wanting to put a better more accurate barrel on that will be good for both subsonic and supersonic ammo. I will be running a can full time. I have a few different ones ranging from 6.5” to 9” long. I also plan to convert it to a SBR in the near future as well. I have a hand guard that has a large enough inside diameter that most cans fit inside. It’s a 15” hand guard. I might change it to one a little shorter when I do convert to a SBR. What about a Ballistic Advantage Hanson barrel? Or Noveske ?

I have a Noveske 10.2 that’s been really good, at least when comparing to what I normally see reported for sbr accuracy. I’m getting right at moa for 220 subs and 0.4 - 0.6 for 110 grain supers.

Not to derail the topic, but what kind of accuracy are you guys seeing with your short barrels?

Rainier Arms Ultramatch (Shilen Blank) has been one of the most accurate gasser barrels Ive ever owned and damn Ive owned some accurate ones. Now, Rainier is no longer using Shilen blanks and they have refused to say what blanks they are using now other than that they are button. I have not tested any of their new Mod2 Ultramatch barrels so I cant speak to if they shoot like their original Shilen blank Ultramatch's.

Here's how my 300blk 10.5" Rainier Ultramatch (Shilen) shoots

7x5 @ 100yds

That’s quite impressive. I will say that my Noveske, as much as I love it, is not as consistent as this.

I have thought about the Rainier Arms barrels or the Ballistic Advantage Hansen 8.3” barrel. Since I’ve got cans from 6.5” to 9” I was just thinking 8.3” would be the best length. Since I would be shooting some supers on occasion should I get an adjustable gas block?

I would definitely get a AGB, superlative arms specifically. I'm shooting 125 TMK at 2100 out of my 10.5" and can bang steel out to 500yds with boring consistency with a Leupold MR/T 1.5-5x20 CM-R2.

I run a Rugged Surge 7.62 all the time on mine in K config.
