Gunsmithing GI Bill Eligible Machinist Classes?

Save your money and your GI bill. Walk your ass into the biggest shop you can find and say this: "I don't know shit, but I know how to work. Pay me whatever and I'll do whatever. I don't smoke dope, I show up on time, and I don't bring drama."

The owner will prolly hug you. Stay true to your word and the money will take care of itself.

That's literally how I started 25 years ago. It paid off.

Good luck.

-Edit: CNC. It tends to intimidate at first. The biggest single leap for me was to get "numbers" out of my head and replace it with "language." That's all it is. You just gotta know how to Habla. :)

Great answer (no sarcasm, I wish I could do that.) I guess I should have added more advanced hobbiest working on my own stuff. I have a full time Naval satellite communications electronics career working for our Uncle based on his training and provided experience. I have a couple years of post 9-11 GI Bill left was looking to use it before I lose it. Unfortunately, our local schools have classes during the day, no nights or weekends and I can't give a local shop the time it would take to make up training me. I have thought about looking into a couple of local shops but we don't have a lot of custom shops in the area.
