I’m not in Boulder either. Only now I sense that Boulder will reach from Wyoming to New Mexico, and from Utah to Kansas!
If it comes to it I will volunteer if someone can spring for a ticket from Alaska to boulder. Preferably a promise of a ticket back if I survive the ensuing events.
Round trip ticket should be a requirement.

There are people like me who fled NY after the unsafe act just to see the California, Oregon and Washington plates fill Colorado and begin to turn it into NY lite. I’m doing my part by trying to get the good people I know out of NY to help bolster the ranks in the Rockies but we are being flooded with west coast liberals. I had a feeling the blue team was going to pick up some seats here but I wasn’t expecting a clean sweep. After the election results I ordered the last couple of items on my bucket list of things to own. I have no doubt they will ramp through something along the lines of the safe act here in the coming months. All I can hope for is that their agenda is so out there that the voters get turned off by hard core liberalism and there will be a red wave to get these people out of office or at least evened out to a stand still.
So on December 5th I posted a notice on the 3% Colorado page to put everyone on “notice” and to prepare for the up coming onslaught on our rights. December 5th... not a single response from anyone over there. Kind of frustrating to me that people from Alaska are willing to stand up for Colorado folks, but people in my everyday circle seem to be complacent to take whatever they’re dealt as a new reality. I’ve been actively recruiting new members to RMGO whom I have dealings with in my everyday life. If you guys are not already members, I would encourage you to consider joining. Even at the entry level membership of $30 a year.
So let me get this straight, forcing people to give up magazines, forcing you to register, restricting what you can purchase, restricting what can be made.. so exactly when are people going to wake up??

Ahh yes Arapahoe County. I moved from Arapahoe 15 years ago to Parker/Douglas County. What was Horse country now looks like Highlands Ranch here. All these CA folks coming in. I see a move to a free state in my future if this keeps up..
I’m hoping to find a decent chunk of land up in Wyoming in the next few years and eventually put up a prefab cabin and get some horses on the ranch. Unfortunately I’m tied to the Denver airport for work until I retire so I’ll just have to deal with it for now and hope the man bun soy boys don’t follow me north. I’m hoping the odds are pretty good because there’s no public transportation, organic strip malls, a Starbucks every three feet or legal weed up there.

About legal weed, I respectfully disagree. The government way,way overstepped itself making it illegal in the first place. I would argue this was a major factor in the drug war fiasco we see today.......
Y’all are both right. The gov was way outa line on that. They used it as a excuse to declare war on Americans. Of the 4 states allowing personal use I have experience with 3 and live in one. While I see plants as God intended, for our use and consumption, I have also come to recognize the types of people that flock to these 4 states are a lot like the illegals.. they bring a lot of entitlement, laziness, and communist ideas with them. Not all are bad. But if it was up to me I would make anyone leaving places like commifornia sign a oath to America and the constitution before allowing them to enter this state..

I actually predicted the argument about the "four states" . Isn't this really the result of the product having been illegals in 50 states? Example: If yarn were illegal nationwide and you suddenly legalize yarn in four states, are you not going to have a sudden influx and concentration of the "yarn folk" ? I believe a lot of aberrant behavior around weed has been caused by the government making it illegal. BTW a lot of weeds smokers are stand up folks....
Look at the whole 21 year old drinking age fiasco. It is argued that this has actually caused more binge drinking, alcoholism, DUI, DUI death etc. You can ship a kid to war but they can't drink a beer??? I live in Illinois when I turned 18. we drove to Wisconsin where is was 18 and drove back drunk....
Funny that you mention opiates. They do come from poppy. The pretty flowers that any gardeners would complement you on having in your front yard. It's not just politicians. When I moved to Boulder 20 years ago, the last of the hippies were getting pushed out. Most of those hippies liked guns, including me. (I had just moved there from living in a Buddhist Monastery.)
Boulder now has one of the highest, if not the highest, per capital PHD rates. Bunch of indoctrinated trustifarians....They hate guns. It is basically becoming little Aspen. Sure there are some gun lovers there but they are becoming less and less in numbers...
You also have the founder of Mom's Demand who moved there strategically. She was looking at a run for national office Rep-ing that area but back away from that when the numbers looked not so good. She is a Bloomberg shill. Bloomberg strategy is to make Colorado the next California in terms of guns to aid in passing national laws. Since Colorado has such an old west pro gun history it's a perfect way to desensitize folks nationally.
The new Governor is also a Democrat gay Boulderite. He claims to be pro 2A but wants "reasonable gun control".

I am 70 years old. My Great Grandparents were born here in Colorado as well as my Grandparents and my Parents and my Brothers and me so we have been around for a while.
Imagine, if you can, how we feel about all of the foreigners moving into out Homeland. All of those foreign countries like Texas, New York, Michigan, California, and the list goes on and on. only to destroy what they moved here for and let's talk about growth and expansion too. It brings tears to my eyes to even think about it.
In 1968 I was drafted out of Castle Rock, a "City" of 750 people but not far from Denver or Colorado Springs.
When I was young I was raised in the Gunnison/Crested Butte area. The population of Crested Butte was a couple hundred on a good day. Those were the good days, Long gone now.
We used to welcome "newcomers" but now just wish they would go back to where they came from.
I realize there is absolutely NOTHING I can do about growth and expansion and my "Home State" will never be the same again.
Boulder has always been known as,"The Land of Fruits and Nuts" and they do not disappoint to this day. They have been Whaco for years.
The Front Range and the Ski areas are lost. The Ski areas, to a large degree, by "Trustfunders" that never worked a day in their lives, always hanging on Momma's or Daddy's tit or small ball sack.
The Eastern Plains and the Western Slope still have a lot of good people in them but are being pushed farther and farther by developments every day.
Water is the only thing that will curtail all of this growth, that and our infra-structure, or the lack thereof, such as highways, sewer plants and water plants etc. will come into play when we have dry periods. We don't have enough water to support all.
If Boulder's gun plans come in Statewide, when they come to my house 2 bodybags will be filled, one for me and one for the first Asshole through the door.

I feel for you FM. I lived in CO for only 10 years (2004-2014) while going to grad school and then my job in Golden. But seeing how fast it changed in that amount of time really sucked! I hated the Front Range, but unfortunately my career would have kept me there. Would love to have been able to be out on the West Slope somewhere.
I never got into the ski scene (traffic/douchiness), had to drive to Byers or Buena Vista to shoot, and when Magpul left after the mag-ban, and weed was about to be legalized, I decided to leave with my family.
Sucks, cuz CO is a beautiful state. The housing market is crazy there now. I visited last spring and saw my old house in Gilpin County was for sale again....listed, and under contract, for damn near twice what I sold it for in '14!

I heard that illegal Mexican weed in Colorado has gone up like 500 % . A guy sells legal weed from a legal store . He pays taxes , employees , rent ie. overhead . Hypothetically he sells a gram for $50.00 to turn a profit . Well cletus sells shit he scored from Raul the mule . He don't pay no stinkin overhead and charges $25.00 a gram . Sounds like the legal store owner should buy all the Mexican weed he can to double his money. Store Owners are cutting into a business run by cartels, dangerous move.
I think it's cheaper for them to buy it from the Mexicans then growing it themselves.??? Real estate is expensive along with the utility costs and such. Down south they just plant it in the field and leave it more or less.
I wish the whole industry would pack up and leave. Driving into work I can't have my car pull in outside air or it will smell like weed for the rest of the day. And that's driving on the highway through Denver. Forcing this kind of crap on folks unwanted gets me all fired up. Man I hate the City of Denver.

Certainly valid but you have such a concentration because of the few states who have legalized. Also some issues could be dealt with through regulation, location, filtration etc.

Retail marijuana is cheaper than ever. There's so much employment that it's difficult to find workers worth what you pay them. Minimum wage is currently around $10.50/hr. Good luck trying to hire someone at that rate. And it goes up January 1st. Regardless of that, you'd be paying that due to the massive amounts of cheap labor jobs available. Doesn't matter because rent will start you about $2,000/month for a shit box. And that extends to the suburbs. Most retail/food chains have a permanent Help Wanted sign on the door.
