Well, I sent in a Suunto Core watch to get a new bezel ring and get the glass replaced. These are things I would have just done myself if I could find the parts anywhere.
Long story short, they told me 14 days to get repaired, they've had it since the beginning of December, and their customer service just says "Sorry, we'll get to it when we can." Then I was told that once they get to it, that's when the 14 day turn around time starts.
Needless to say I'm pissed. Definitly wont be buying or recommending their products again. The only reason I was even going to get it fixed was because it's been all over the world with me.
Too bad, I figured a company like Suunto would have better customer service.
Anyone else had any experience like this with these guys?

Dude, chill out, the holidays fucks everything up. I had shit taking two weeks priority mail! The guys that do watch repair probably took long vacations too. I doubt they'd have a 14 day turn around if they didn't usually make good on it.

I'm STILL waiting on shit ordered around Christmas. So give it time this time of year. I never mail shit in December with the expectation it'll get there on time or be completed on time. Now we get into January and I'll be up your ass getting to the bottom of it.

Take it easy, and if you like 'em, give 'em a break. Maybe call and let 'em know how much it inconvenienced you and that you really needed it back and they didn't make good on that, what can you do for me?

Sounds like someone believes everything should fit into a "microwave" world ( everything hot, fast, and now).
I have never had a watch worth repairing (have not worn a watch for almost 30 years). If the company you state make high end watches worth repairing, and the watch has sentimental value then I am sure the wait will be worth it.
I am sure the company has quality control that they are not willing to compromise. With that time is not a concern. If your sole commitment is time quality will always come 2nd.
Let them do their job.

I am still waiting 1 week and a day for a $6 part that was supposed to be here a week ago from the dealer. Cars blocking driveway and I need to haul some shit to the dump. Oh well.

Alright, fair enough, you've guys have made your point. Maybe I'm just being an idiot. I'll just let this thing ride and see what ends up happening. Thanks for your responses.
Well I have to say you took that well. I was ready for a rant or a fight. Good on you. I am sure everything will turn out to meet or exceed your expectations.
I wish you well on your endeavour to refurbish your watch.
Post pics when you get it back.

Can't say it didnt cross my mind. But, if everyone was responding that way, it would point to me acting like a child haha, so, if the shoe fits... I'll post pics when it gets back. Thanks again for squaring me away!
