Just saw this:

"The ELF 700 Precision Rifle Trigger is the pinnacle of drop in trigger systems for the Remington 700 and clone precision rifles. Designed with an externally adjustable pull weight, it is infinitely adjustable from less than 2oz to over 5lbs. This trigger has the incredible feel and crisp break that ELF triggers are known for even at the highest weight. One of the unique and proprietary features of this trigger, three aerospace grade bearings are key to the consistency and smoothness of the pull. Because the bearings are a pressed fit with a pressed fit shaft pressed into a billet housing, there is absolutely no play in any components. Another proprietary technology is a 6 to 1 ratio roller bearing pivot arm that effectively eliminates any variation in set pull weight regardless of firing spring tension. Other features include an over-sized safety knob and an innovative internal bolt release mechanism which is optional if you are installing in a clone rifle. The trigger shoe is aluminum, easily adjustable, and will be available curved or flat. We are in full production and the triggers will be available for purchase by end of February. MSRP $296"

I saw it too. I have one of their single stage AR triggers that I really like. I'm curious to see some real world reviews.

Single stage or two stage?

I would imagine (since every other site just copied the description from the ELF product page), based on the way it's described, that its single stage. I would expect them to say two if it was two, but since no comment is made, I'd go with single. Right?

Curious about this trigger. ELF AR triggers are some of my favorite drop ins...

Their AR triggers feel great, no creep, adjustable weight, and super crisp. The issue with mine, and others, was getting it to run properly consistently. The tension screws must be set up perfectly, else you will have all kinds of issues. Mine often rides the boot home, thus isn’t used much.

Interested, I have one of their AR safeties and anti-rotation hammer/trigger pin sets. Those two are good stuff and I hear good things about their AR triggers.

Styledogg, have you installed and used your ELF trigger? Any feedback?

I installed trigger with no issues, dry fired through a few "house" stages ( they sent a series of trigger springs. I however went with what was installed already in trigger and tuned it with the set screw and its perfect.) The following day I was invited out to get some PRS practice. Myself and team member loved the new Elf-trigger. Breaks clean, and is made very well.

I was an early adopter of trigger tech when they weren't as trendy, pre-diamond trigger, it was hard to sell my teammates on the future back then. Now they run the Diamonds, except for myself. I also used a Timney CE 2 stage seemed to be the industry standard for a bit.

I am looking forward to continually use the Elf-trigger in various climates we are becoming accustomed to. i.e. rain, muck, had a solid 60 rounds and a bunch of dry firing on the trigger so far, and it looks to be a great fit on the new rifle.

Anyone else try an Elf 700 trigger? I'd all but decided to try one. However, a few lukewarm comments have me second guessing myself. Of course, safety and reliability trump performance on the priority list. Otherwise I'm leaning towards Triggertech.

I can’t imagine how any single stage is any better than a triggertech diamond. Except for some people wanting some overtravel, it’s basically perfect.

Rarely hear if one going down and is 100% drop safe.

Can upon this thread after getting an email from redhawk rifles about a sale on the elf triggers, and wanting to know more about them. Figured I would grab a couple to try on some actions i have coming in soon. Haven't tried any of their triggers yet but figured I would give them a shot. But anywho, they are almost $100 off right now at:

Joel said it's a great trigger. He also said he won't replace his TriggerTech Diamond with it.
Just watched the video and noted that as well. I *think* I wouldn't have considered it at full price and would have gotten TT Diamonds (or new two stage tacsport) for the Bat and Archimedes actions I have coming in (hum, ordered two and have 1 Bat and 2 Archimedes on the way, should I get one more of these????), but at the price point on sale if it does meet its claims I think it will be well worth it. I love my TT Diamonds, but the sale price and shoes (aside from the pull weight range) is what sold me on getting a couple (actually just ordred a third since I just reminded myself i have 3 actions coming).

Also, if it does go to 2oz and someone tries out one of my rifles with one in and asks what it is that can go that low, I can say "my rifle has a magic elf inside it".

BigDaddyUnlimited has these for 195.99 - 201.99 depending on model. I'm pretty tempted. Otherwise I'm going with a TT Spl... I'm wanting to stay around 2# +/- as this will be my first "precision" bolt gun. Hell, my first bolt gun period not counting 22LRs.

RE: BDU, it's a membership thing that's 10'ish bucks per month, but I've gotten some pretty darn good deals. They've got the MPA Hybrid Chassis for $742.99...seems like a darn good deal.

The ELF is going on my 300PRC build. Either I’ll love it and report back here, or I’ll hate it and you’ll see it for sale here lol.
Been running Timney’s for the last 10yrs, so looking forward to something new.

$179 here

Reviving this one as it came up in a google search for reviews. Its been long enough for people to get some time behind one.

Whats the word on the street? Are these a good trigger in the sub $200?
