Democratic Colorado Gov. Jared Polis’s signature is all that remains to include Colorado among the ranks of states prepared to abandon the electoral college system in favor of nationwide popular voting for the next presidential election. This is their plan to try to get arround the conservative canidates. So if you are in Colorado and the state goes for Trump but the popular vote goes for so Dip Shit Democrate "DSD". Your vote will go to the DSD. We can only hope this will come back to bite the states planning to do this. Of course it is the blue states. I pray that in the next election this bites all of these assholes.

Ok, let's assume repubs never win another popular vote for president. Let's further assume that conservatives in Repub states defeat pending measures and the trend stands at "those states that are democrat strong holds are the only ones to enact such legislation." Lets go a bit further and postulate that Trump is the most polarizing president (sitting or candidate) in a generation.

What are we left with?

Only Historically blue states vowing to "vote the popular will." So what? Here's what...

If blue wins the popular vote, their vote goes blue. This was going to happen anyway because these states already vote blue. No net change.

This is just one more case of liberal virtue signaling.

The danger is when/if swing states and "red states"'enact this loonacy. But know, if your state does this, they are saying "Your vote doesn't matter."

By the way, who was the last conservative president? Reagan, the darling of the Repubs, was not particularly conservative relative to the day. He only looks "conservative" relative to today...

The problem with this almost all of the states doing it, are BLUE states. They were already going to go Democratic. So this change, can only make them go Republican, which will give them a hissy fit, especially if they would have won the EC.

~138,000,000 total votes were cast in the 2016 presidential election.

Given the same numbers, If Cali sways whichever way the NATIONAL popular vote blows, each vote in Cali will count 1/138,000,000 of the total. Your vote counts for LESS when it’s a national popularity contest...
