Sauer SSG 3000 22LR conversion

Just curious how many of the very few here that have the SSG3000, have managed to acquire the 22LR conversion kit.
Just wondering how common that barrel, bolt and mag assembly really are.

I haven't ever seen the conversion either, I'd say it's pretty rare here in the states. Hell, I had to order regular magazines from a place in the UK.

They are very rare in the US. I had one, it was one of the most accurate rimfires I have ever shot. It was 100% reliable. I tried to get more magazines for it but ended up buying a Walther pistol mag and modifying it slightly so I had an extra magazine. I sure which they were more available, they are a home run!

I have a Benchmark 6.5CM barrel, they were out of mags back when I got some from the UK. Good to know they got some more in though.

The reviews you heard were spot on, they make an excellent barrel. It's a bit expensive if you buy one of their barrel extensions, but you can reuse it when/if you rebarrel later. I had them make a 26" 6.5CM, with the factory profile.

Just a heads up about Sauer triggers. Sauer also make a 550g two stage trigger to the STR/SSG3000 that is comparable to the Anschutz 5020 from the 1827 biathlon rifles.

I think the "standard" trigger in the STR/SSG3000 is one of the very best offered, comparable to the TRG trigger. I love the safety on them also.
