Who makes a decent magnum and regular (308-6.5C) reloading block that wont break the bank. I've
searched the web and most of the aluminum ones are $50. If that's the going rate that's fine
just looking for options. I think the Lyman aluminum ones are $35ish?

You wouldn't want to be seen out in public using these but they work.

Sinclair makes some nice poly loading blocks. I use the 25 rd. ones. They also have the bigger ones.

I used the inserts from handgun ammo boxes for years. Cheap and the worked. Now I use the plastic ones by RCBS. I don'r see the need to spend $50+ on a bullet holder that is going to sit on my bench.

I've found that 9mm blazer factory ammo boxes have plastic inserts which work great for .223. And the .45 factory trays work great for .308.

I use a few of the plastic trays with holes drilled in the bottom to air dry brass after being cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner.

Or for cheap you can also use an old scrap plywood or 2x4 and drill some holes in it.

Otherwise the cnc aluminum ones are great but you pay for them.

I have several different ones that I have acquired over the years. Plastic ones from C-H, MTM, RCBS, polymer ones from Sinclair, aluminum ones from CNC Shooter, maybe a few others. Grandpa made them from scrap 1 X 6's using a drill press and a Forsner bit. They all work. Theres no wrong answer here.

I’ll third Sinclair’s HD blocks. Cheap, durable, hold cases without tipping over, and are white so its easy to see any spilled power. Only negative is they’re slippery as sin on a smooth poly’d wood surface. I just took some super glue and rubber anti skid pads, problem solved.

I use 2 x .308 ones for my competition stuff, and have a couple of the RCBS Universal ones for any other calibers (dont load enough of them to warrant buying every size)
