Winchester Model 70 trigger & stock, pre-64

I am thinking about a build on a Winchester action I have, it will be a shouldered Proof Research Barrel, permanent installation. Any recommendations for trigger and stock appreciated. And for the "What will it be used for" guys, it will be used for whatever it is capable of...... This is my fourth "last rifle" build in the past four years, hehehe........

The old style model 70 triggers can be adjusted for pull weight quite a bit. I've had mixed results with this. On hunting rifles I was careful not to go below 3# as I like a little resistance for something that will be used in cold weather. On varmint rifles, I went down to roughly 2.5# and safety became less reliable. Creep and overtravel aren't the best either. Aftermarket triggers will be a good investment. I've used Timney with good results. Another option is Jewell.

Is an actual pre 1964 built rifle or the modern model 70 with “pre-64” style control round feed action? That will affect your stock choices.

As I specified, Model 70 pre64 contriolled round feed, 1959 to be more specific. I probably am interested in trigger opinions more than stocks. I got some good intel on pre64.com as recommended by pmclain. I just happen to have one of those grand old actions on a barrel that is beyond hope, so why not? Also it has been drawn to my attention that it is my fifth “last” rifle in as many years, not fourth.
