You also can’t take one sentence that was posted and insert your own reasoning behind it. He may not like them. So what. As long as he doesn’t advocate against, I am OK with that. I won’t wear a suit. Don’t like them. He wears one everyday. I know that oversimplifies it but my point is made.
I think it’s implied that he may try to do away with them like he did bump stocks. There was similar remarks about those.

I had much higher expectations from Mr. Trump. Being better than that piece of shit Hillary doesn't make him effective or productive. I want The Wall, I want a Health Care solution that is "beautiful" and a repeal and a replacement for Obamacare. I want The Swamp drained.

Not really but out of the two? It’s not like we had a lot of choices here, that is until some people grow some balls. I think everyone here wants the same things. And I agree, imo, he hasn’t done much of anything he said he was going to. However, he is making some people some money and people like their money and therefore he will be re-elected. As long as people have money in their pocket and the economy is doing well, he will win again.

He has kicked the hornet’s nest. The deep state is exposed. That is something that no man to this point in has accomplished. If you can’t see that then you haven’t been keeping up. Republicans hate him. Democrats really hate him. There is a reason for that. Government is about business as usual. Trump changed that and for the better. We need hundreds more like him in office. Until someone better comes along I will stand behind him. No other man would have been elected. No good old country boy (what we need) would get the votes.
He has done many many things that he promised unlike any other career politician. That single statement in your post lost me. Can Trump do wrong or make bad decisions? Yes. Has he been making progress? Yes. Do my enemies hate him. Absolutely yes. He will get my vote in the next election.
I think you misunderstand me. Trump has done a lot and I will continue to stand by him, but I believe he could do much much more. As far as his campaign promises go, how many has he actually done?
He has done tax cuts, made a sliver of progress on Obamacare (if you can call it progress), has made USSC appointments, reduced regulation, increased oil and gas production, given more money to help build up the military, and many others but he hasn’t done anything for the 2A which was a big one for me and he hasn’t yet accomplished the wall, immigration or border security, which are also big ticket items to me. He also hasn’t hammered the currency manipulator that is China yet and I’m sure there some things I have left out. We are running out of time. I do believe he could have done a shitload of other stuff if it wasn’t for all the opposition and phony investigation BS that he has had to deal with. See there is another group that imo should rot in jail. Attempted coup and still no action. He has been stonewalled at almost every corner and they have hammered down his effectiveness as president which imo should be a crime. We voted him in for a reason, going against him is going against the will of the people.
He is but one man tho and he can’t do it alone. Frankly, I’m surprised the man has been able to get anything done considering all of the opposition he has met. I respect him a lot for that. But when he does things like keeping Obama picks in certain roles, or placing Obama people in certain roles, or make moves against the 2A of any sort, it really makes scratch my head. There is enough evidence of clear wrongdoing for some people in DC to go to prison and yet they are still running around free. Until some of the swamp goes to prison I’m always going to be a little skeptical. Kicking the nest isn’t enough, people at minimum need to be removed from positions. I’d rather see some in jail.
PS The deep state has been exposed for a long time for anyone half paying attention. I like to think that most people on this board are not asleep at the wheel!
Oh and I will without a doubt vote for him again. He has been the best president of my lifetime as far as I’m concerned.

Well so far what I see is him asking for our support and then doing things against our interests to be "nice" to the very people that hate him.

Unfortunately that's the name of the game. The whole goal is to get elected. Once elected, the only mission from there on out is to get reelected. If anyone thinks that he is going to do anything significant before securing his reelection, they haven't been paying attention to the game.

Trump may think he's popular, but I think it would be very fair to say that gun owners are the ones that got him elected and if he pisses them off to make a deal with the democrats, he'll fall flat in the elections if they decide to just stay home from the polls.
