If further motivation needed to dump the NRA

Say what ever you like about the NRA. Just be honest with yourself. Without the NRA our 2nd would have been gone years ago. The NRA is not Wanyne Lpenis, the NRA is me, my wife and my kids, and we are doing the best we can.

If you want a name change forget about the name suggested in the article. BMA---Begging for Money Again.

You are right and for the most part without them in the past the 2A would have been gone or very very restricted by now. However as it stands and going forward if we continue with the NRA by their help we'll see those same restrictions or loss we've managed to dodge. The ball is in their court, and unless major changes take place GOA and the 2nd
amendment foundation along with others will grow and take their place. In a way its sad but its completely their own doing and unless the McCain type hunters that continue to support it wise up the organization won't survive.

No more than America was Obama. America is too much, far beyond Obama's ability to understand or represent. The NRA is more than LaPenis.

You get it. So many won't/so many don't, but you get it. It truly IS a hard pill to swallow let along a bad sight to look at,,,, but that IS the way it is.

And as has been stated by others (yourself???) it is up to THE MEMBERSHIP to right the ship and direct it down the path that THE MEMBERSHIP wants.

Not easy. Not simple. But still true.

LaPierre's time at the helm of the NRA needs to end for it to survive. He cannot pass the test of appearance of unethical conduct. The board members that voted him in need to be removed. Allen West, Ollie North and Chris Cox were not all wrong. Enough information about his excesses in use of membership funds to live lavishly have come out that it should have already occurred. I have been letting them know when they call to fundraise, that my checkbook is closed until he is replaced. As a lifetime member, if they exist next round I will be voting for new board members.

Agree with this but if Wayne is going to run it this way, I will not be able to support.

Something tells me NSA showed at his residence with those photos of him at the Rest Area.

Time for him to go and if they think the last turnover in the NRA brought in an Orthodox class this new change over better make them believe the Jesuits (when the Jesuits actually stood for something) have taken over.

As far as the "scare tactics" all these gun orgs do it. SAF is no different as far as mailing with the dire warnings and sending me "surveys" to fill out that are as biased as anything the left sends out.

Fudds are figuring out whats coming.

Its not a good time to have the rights orgs doing this shit.

My membership expires in September.

Im starting to receive all the mailings related to that.

They will be getting the postage paid envelopes back with a hand written message on the rejoin.....

"Not until Wayne LaPierre is gone"

Ollie Norths opinion doesnt matter to me he is an anti gunner at heart.

Chris Cox - well he enjoys dwelling in the swamp.

but Allen West is the real deal.

I remember when my sister moved to Florida and volunteered to work on Mr. West’s campaign. She was so excited she just about came out of her shoes.
Sue was so proud when she moved from Jersey, one of the first things she did was get her CCW. Not to bad for 70.
Like the rest of my family, cancer got her too.
Not all of us from Jersey that move to a free State are left wing loonies.
I just joined GOA last month even while being a Life Member of the NRA.

Think of it tis way... if Bloomburg and his minions can succeed in killing the NRA, what is to stop them from going after the next largest gun rights organization next?

I totally disagree with some of the things the NRA has done but they are still our loudest and best voice. A new leadee may be needed but we need NRA.

Sad to hear that. She must have lived close to me at that time. That’s when i first met the colonel

Except bloomburg and his minions have not been successful in killing the NRA.
Lapierre and the current board have.

Get rid of them and put people like West in charge things would turn around for the better. You are right however about the rest.

all i can say is as much as the libs/left show utmost contempt for the NRA and paint them as this big evil empire, they (NRA) must be doing something right.

also have to wonder just a little bit if there is some sort of smear campaign going on, as again, the lefts/libs would like nothing more than the NRA to be disbanded and us to lose their clout and presence.

Look in the mirror, look at their actions and non actions, they are committing slow motion suicide, getting some help yeah but 99% of their downfall is self help. Fuck the nra.

Do you really need any group, just think if a million of us showed up in Washington just to send a message or 10% of us like 10 million .It would be over whelming. How great would it be if 500,000 of us showed up at Eric Swalwell home before he was able to drop a nuke on us. We are the largest Militia in the world , boots on the ground the only way you can complete a mission.

This reminds me of the many times I heard similar thoughts..."If we (fill in the blanks, truckers, farmers, etc.) just went on strike, etc. we could bring down/change (fill in the blank)...Problem is, truckers, farmers are not organized and can never manage to become organized...The NRA and other organizations like the NRA are needed for just that purpose...JMHO, YMMV...
