I don't want to call the guy out but does this seem fishy to you?

$1200 optic for $750. Not a big red flag.

Wants a USPS MO with tracking. Big red flag to me. Think it is going to a address that isn't his and needs tracking so he can intercept it. Seems like a red flag.

Googling the guy's name gets zero results. Red flag.

The address is listed as having a value of $47000.

Asked for a picture of item with liscense next to it and got no response.

    What do you think

What is the address? Put it in google earth. $47,000 wont get you a bare building lot around here.

Oh and walk the hell away. (Google earth would just be a curiosity thing)

    Very good.

No NICS if you have valid ccw..... last I knew anyways. Perhaps @tnichols could weigh in.
Cans legal (didnt use to be)

Lots of room. Where I am from folks are down home and conservative.
    Nothin fancy happening.
    Just good living.

    Edited to correct my mistake.

4473 is federal requirement. Some States carry permits meet fed background check requirement, so no NICS check (same in GA).

Yep, kind of mis-spoke there I would bet.

The permit does by-pass the NICS check.

Really handy for those impulse buys at the gun show. For instance, you can have the new purchase under your arm and carrying it around before you have even thought about if it was a good deal - or not. Happens to me all the time. :ROFLMAO:

Any time I sell something and USPS money order is the payment type I always ask for tracking that way I have at least a little bit of an idea if the person is screwing with me and actually sends the thing. That said, I try and use zelle every chance I can nowadays.

    Hi,

Are we talking the spearknives PX ad?
Well I am pretty sure we are, lolol....Just look at that guys post here...NONE are truly informative, just ramblings to buy his time. Props to him for having the restraint to not post ad for his 101 post, lolol

    Sincerely,
    Theis
Thanks. I was gonna ask you to check him out lol

I did mis speak and edited my post.

The farmsteads I am speaking of dont have nice buildings like tnichols and the house would need some updating.

I havent seen a ton, but for sure a few.

    They are also in BFE.
Which would be perfect for retirement IMAO......

Usually sold in 2-5 acres with a bunch of trees, a house, and couple old buildings.
Farmers are less interested in buying because they dont need or want the house and its more work than the land is worth to get it ready to plant.

    Still thinking about buying one.......
Even if I wont live in it for a while.

Whenever I pay for something with USPS MO, I take a picture of the check, and the addressed and stamped envelope, and sent it to the seller to set their mind at ease. Me on the other hand, don't know 100% that I'm not sending it to a scammer. So far I've been lucky.

Ha, you beat me to it. I also do the same with the stamped envelope.

    +1

I accept ZERO forms of electronic payment. If you want to buy something from me, you will pay in cash or USPS MO.

Are you seriously telling me, if we do some trading, I can't pay you in rolls of snuff, buckets of catfish, or rolls of hog wire?

Just when I thought we might be from the same tribe...

    Run for the HILLS,walk away,leave it alone,see ya laters,goodbye.

There’s nothing wrong with leveraging the group to help vet a given seller; if he is legit I would think he would post here accordingly and offer to provide any reasonable verification to deer sniper off line.

Once those funds leave, they never come back.
