Guys here is the deal I'm trying to find a place where I can take my dad to shoot steel at a few hundred yards in a perfect world, but at least hammer some steel at some distance that is dad's fav. He still loves to shoot, but at 75 if it's more than 30 minutes he says 'nah I'm going fishing!'. So, if you are on private land I have a bit of a barter option for your consideration. I will be a member at JTAC in Tampa which will have steel out to 2,000....looking like Nov/Dec opening. Dad lives in Cape Coral....if you are near and would be willing to let us tag along for a couple of hours on your land I'd be more than happy to invite you up on my dime with lunch included as a guest to shoot at JTAC this fall for some steel smashin. **If it's something we can do regularly and I know that's a big ask.....I'll set up a nice mix of steel targets to leave at your place. I shoot suppressed so if keeping noise down is key for your property I'm set up. Plus I'm going to get him a 22 which is probably all he'd ever shoot anyway.

Good luck with this. I would be really surprised if you find something. There are a couple of local private clubs in a 30 mile radius but they all have year long wait lists and I can’t think of any besides maybe alta that offered any rifle distance worth a damn. I just bailed on that armpit of the country for the high desert. Now its a 30 minute drive to the middle of nowhere where my left and right lateral limits extend to the horizon. Of course its 19 degrees right now.

One man's treasure......anothers bane! Born in Chicago raised in midwest so I feel your 19.....I don't do anywhere I can't wear board shorts, reefs and t-shirts 12 months a year! 26 years here and I'm a FL lifer for good(or at least until we get a libtard gov and real estate taxes go nuts or we get a state income tax)but to put a close to this thread as of last night dad said he is fine just coming up to JTAC periodically and would rather shoot with me.
