My father in law broke his old Bushnell and they didn’t want to fix them. I don’t know the full story but he wants a replacement

Requirements:
Good warranty
Small
Under $200

I don’t agree with his size request but they are not my binoculars so whatever

I’m considering telling him to go vortex diamondback he 8x32, but we don’t have a big box store to go to and check out several pairs/brands

Why does he want to go 8x32 and not the 8x42? Because of the size or some other reason? If its not the size then there is a ton of 8x42s to be had from. He can get the Vortex Diamondbacks for starters.

It’s a size thing, I don’t understand but he’s a little stubborn, thinks ak’s are better than ar’s, thinks miller lite is the best beer ever made, and I spend too much on optics even though he loved the glass on my razor hd 10x42’s. ?

I see the Bushnell Forge 10x30 Binos at around $349. Not sure how good they are. There was also a deal going on for 10x42 (I know bigger) for $139/- At that price, I would just throw one in the bag.

I had Vortex diamondback in past, they were good. Seems around $200-225 on sale, bass pro perhaps.

Bought Bushnell Forge last year, major upgrade in optical quality. Controls are better, smoother. Definitely a step up from my diamondbacks.

Either way, I would be looking at black Friday deals, which is right around the corner. SWFA and many others have big sales. Doug at Camera Land NY would be good guy to call.

The cheap Leupolds are really not upto the mark in my experience at least, the higher end ones are good but at those prices, I would rather spring for Swaros or Zeiss. Vortex does cheap well. Again, take all of this with a grain of salt. Opinions are subjective.

you find a set of zeiss or swaros for under 200, you let me know.

It seems that you haven't read my post correctly or read it with a sarcastic bias. I meant the "higher end good leupolds are almost in the price range of the zeiss and swaros". The post above did not anyway convey that zeiss and swaros were available for under 200.
