Tacoma,WA approves new tax on Heroin, meth and needles...... just kidding - Ammo

This will only hurt the local business and the city will lose the sale taxes it collected on these purchases. People will just travel out of the city to purchase what they want or need.

I lived in Seattle for a year for work. Already had to do that there for ammo and out of state for liquor. I knew people that did the same for soda or gatorade . I was pissed the first time I bought a gun online there trying to beat the taxes and went to the FFL for the transfer and they added the 10% or so sales tax on to the cost of the transfer. There was no way around it.....well except getting back to Texas as fast as I could!

The wide open badlands and prairies of Idaho and Montana are only a relatively short road trip away. Rolling skies and endless visibility for miles... Prime territory to host ELR matches and gun shows.

Yeah I live in Tacoma, the three local gun shops and arrow precision all said they're going to move out of the city, it'll take some time they'll do it the crazy thing is the city Council doesn't care all they want is their 30 or $40,000 a year for gun education programs which we all know doesn't work. aero precision employees 400 people and they don't give a shit about their families or the amount of money they put in the city I'm gonna laugh like hell when they move as a matter fact I'll tell him in a city Council meeting

However, the 8 cucks and cunts of the City council would scream the loudest if something they enjoyed got taxed. It makes it look like they are doing something to combat this "terrible" gun problem while they drive a machine while on the phone which causes way more deaths. And the sheeple follow. Hypocrites.

Be ready people, cities and states, need a way to bring extra tax dollars in, so they can fill their coffers/slush fund(s). Any excuse they can use, they will use it. Every state/city in our nation will be doing this, because WE are sheep in the eyes of our .gov. State and local .gov., hell, Fed.gov also, mismanage sooo much of our tax $$, that all they have to do, is put a tax on or raise an existing tax, because the .gov does not make money, this is how shit is "fixed". When was the last time any of you heard that something was "fixed" in our nation?? It has stayed status-quo for decades, when in doubt, throw more money at it. Times will change though, I see it in our future. Mac:(

Oh, they did the same thing to *anything* that was sold... anything that might have a perceived 'benefit' - including membership fees/dues for non-profit organizations. Doesn't matter if it's a church, a gun club, or the Cub Scouts. The state of WA started charging 'sales' tax on those as well.

Our club membership fees had *just* gone up to cover expenses, plus a little more for 'future-proofing' - and then got kicked in the nuts with that tax. There went any 'buffer' we had planned on. :cautious:

It follows a predictable path.
The more tax money a government gets in, the more it wants and the more desperate it is for the next revenue bump.
They play divide and conquer as much as they can, along with the BS dogwhistle "for the children" till they run out of things, then they just plain rob everyone.

The government and taxes are like a junkie with an out of control drug habit, the more they rob at gunpoint, the more they need the next time and the more desperate they become for the next fix.

There was a reason we were supposed to keep the government small & starving.

The damn thing was I rented an AirBnB out on Orcas Island to go check it out. Going over the charges on the receipt with the gal who owned the cabin she proudly pointed to some 11 or 12% tax and told me they pay even more than the rest of the state. She only wished they would raise it even higher to do her part. I had no idea there are people out there who wish to keep less of their money and pay more in taxes. I was too stunned to make my usual wise ass comments. Lack of sunlight really does rot the brain-

The State of Washington is fucked. Idiotic Governor, Sideshow lawsuit happy sue the Federal Government and others AG Ferguson, Seattle (?) suing the State for a recently passed initiative to roll back Car Tab fees, second highest gas tax in the nation, outside sources funding gun control initiatives... 3 heavily populated libtard counties outvote the rest of the state combined.

I rest my case on my first statement- We the citizens of the Evergreen State are fucked.

Oh did I mention homeless camps, free needles, heroin injection sites.... (n)

Doesn't that mean you paid the 11 or 12%? Was it an Occupancy Sales Tax?

Well let's encourage them to move. I wish no ill will on the common man, but there will be casualties in a war. If Aero precision is not just blowing smoke and actually moves that could be a pretty good hit on their economy. Would be nice if Aero offered to help employees move with them but I am not sure that will get the needed reaction.

I am contemplating that it would be over all better for our fight. If Aero made plans in secret (and fucking fast), shut down and moved over a weekend and left the city with 400 unemployed overnight.

Sounds like a dick move, but part of how we got here is being nice.

Fight fire with fire.

One thing to remember is that for a lot of manufacturing companies, a big part of what makes them viable is long term well trained, motivated employees who know how to do things and get them done right.

You mass fire all your employees for a move and there is a good chance your company goes broke before you manage to get enough new workers trained and up to speed to have production, quality control, sales & customer service back up & running.

You would be much better off making a statement by moving not only the company but all the key employees to another state in one big go.

Understood. It of course would be dumb to not take key players with you, when moving.

Just need the biggest FU as you leave. Looking to hit the .gov the hardest not the common man or go bankrupt.

Obviously if the company goes under then who won that battle.

In the end, it will be the hypocrisy that brings them down.

Hypocrisy is a lie, and the problem for liars is keeping track of all their lies. Their lies all come back to haunt them.

Maybe, but it will be a long time before that happens and they'll just blame it on someone else. Then they'll tell the people the answer is more government, until that's not the answer anymore and then it's too late.

One thing to remember is that for a lot of manufacturing companies THAT NEVER SET UP REPEATABLE, WELL DOCUMENTED PROCESSES, a big part of what makes them viable is long term well trained, motivated employees who know how to do things and get them done right.

Fixed it for you

BTW, that goes for admin processes as well.

I'm really sorry to hear that Washington State is so F'd. I was stationed there in the A.F. (McCord) from 77 till 82. Loved my time there and did all the normal things everyone did, seen a lot of it. Beautiful place, just sorry for your loses and hope you can get it back to how it once was. Mac☹

WA state is only f'd up because of the lib cesspools of Seattle, Olympia, Bellingham and to a lesser extent Tacoma. My wife and I just relocated to central Texas this July after living over 20 years in Maple Valley, WA and still have a place over the hump in Crescent Bar, WA. I'm actually a little surprised to see that Tacoma passed such a thing as it being close to JBLM and more of a blue collar community but I guess that's all changing. I love Eastern WA where we still have a place but the problem is the commies that run the whole state. There have been some half-hearted efforts to split the state and even King Co (create a new Cedar Co.) Which I supported. Maple Valley and most of SE King Co. used to be, and still is for the most part, conservative but that is changing too as the mass influx of yuppies, millennials because of MS, Amazon, etc. fuck up the demographics.

I think the goal is to push them out.
Gun = Bad.
Anything that makes it harder to buy/own/shoot/enjoy = Good
