So a quick dive into some statistics to look at the 115 major mass shootings in the USA between 1992 and 2019, 9 were committed by Asians.
That means that 7.8 percent of the major mass shootings (DC, Virginia Tech, Yesterday... ) were committed by 5.6 percent of the population.
By way of other numbers... 8.6 percent percent were perpetrated by Latinos (who comprise 16.7 percent of the population). Making Latinos rather peaceful!
Blacks comprise 12.1 percent of the population and committed 16.5 percent of the major mass shootings. Putting them on par with the 'assault-asians.'
Non-hispanic Whites comprise 72 percent of the population and committed 56 percent of the major mass shootings... making them VERY peaceful!
And just to round things out... "Other (ie Muslim., Unknown or Native American) committed the remaining 10 percent of the mass shootings. (Native Americans were 2 percent).
So kind of seems to me that, statistically, 'assault-Asians' are real!
And the fears that gun owning white crazoid militia angry-birds types who are sitting in their Parents basements wearing Nana's wedding dress in a pool of their own urine and masturbating to Guns and Ammo... do not seem to be the biggest problem?
Just putting some numbers around things. Because it's always better to 'know' than to feel!
And all that said, I can say with almost certainty that skin color, political orientation, upbringing, etc. had little or nothing to do with the fact that ALL THESE PEOPLE WERE BATSHIT CRAZY! Which is the common thread running through every mass shooting incident since the dawn of time. Because sane people do not shoot up groups of people in cold blood. Ever. Only crazy people do.
And crazy people should be wearing Canvas tuxedos and locked in rubber rooms with a plush Snoopy doll and Yanni music on the speaker. NOT walking among us. But there ya go!
