Join the contest SubscribeMy initial numbers put it at a .1 advantage in 6mph wind at 1k.
about 2 mils disadvantage in elevation.
Compared to 105 @ 2950.
What’s the recoil and trace like?
Havent seen any trace yet bc I've only shot it at 100 yards. I have a total of 95 rounds down the pipe.
Looking at this compared to my homo-feline.
The only gains would be in recoil and trace. Which would be awesome
I’m in search of a unicorn. .223 ish recoil, similar wind to 105@2950, and enough energy on target to spot impacts.
Thought .22br was gonna be it. Misses no problem to spot. But impacts on steel at 700+ with 85.5gr were not ideal to spot.
22cm with an 88eld or 95smk? I'm currently getting 3,220 out of a 22" with the 88eld, and I'm watching impacts fairly easily. I have not shot the 95 but at 3,150 it should do well with the wind and have decent energy on target
Have 88’s as well. I’m only running 2950 at the moment. 3200 would probably be a little different. But might be sacrificing barrel life.
Forgot to add to my unicorn list, 2000-2500 rnd barrel life. ??
All this has me contemplating a 25GTI have no problem believing I'll see that kind of round count for this caliber. Idk if it checks all your other boxes or not but that one I feel confident in. Like I said, recoil is a non issue, it SHOULD produce trace that Ray Charles could see, great wind deflection, enough energy on target, and great barrel life. You can even do a 25BRA. Patrick Young is running one. Not many people are doing this. I'll see how it shakes out pretty soon.
All this has me contemplating a 25GT![]()
