I can't imagine shooting any farther that 600 yard at night. Honestly property what is most fun to shoot and on an AR15 or 6.5CM rifle on some desert trips plinking.

Sorry, only shooting out to 600 yard or so at night on an AR15 and 6.5CM rifle at targets and steel. Do have an IR laser but not sure if that even maters.

If your only interest is targets then NV all the way. Even the best thermals on the market don't compare to something like a pvs-30 for resolution on targets. For hunting the detection advantage of thermal wins out.

how do these units do in terms of optic shift if rail mounted? Do they need to be lined up just right and are they repeatable?
