Don’t worry about use. Just focus on the best built quality optic between the two scopes listed. People who have either I’d like to hear from. I really don’t have any interest in any other brand or model. Just these two. So based on just these two scopes, what do you think? Here are the two scopes in which I’m referring:

    Steiner P4XI 4-16X56
Bushnell Elite Tactical DMR II 3.5-21X50

Reticle on the Steiner looks like it was designed with a crayon. Athlon has a similar one that caused me to sell it. Horizontal mil marks looks like a drunken wave. But parallax goes to 50. Turrets and powder ring felt great out of the box. Glass has that non filtered tint to it. So flat colors but stupid clear. 16 powder in today’s market? I shoot mostly at the 14 powder range so not much wiggle room. I’ll be selling soon.

Bushnell has cleaner reticale in the DMR and HDMR. 75 parallax, and more powder. Bushnell’s need a bit of time for the powder ring to losses up. Little slop on elevation turret in one of mine. Good glass for me, good feeling turrets. No issue with tracking on any of mine. My non “PRO” DMR has none of the issue you often hear about. So I never upgraded to the DMR PRO. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I got the DMR II H59 enroute from camera land NY. Got me a great deal! Can’t wait for it to show up.

I got them both and like them both. Might give the edge to the DMR for feel and the Steiner for glass and retc... I hated the old DMR version with the locking knobs and horrible CA and sold that thing fast but the 2 has better knobs and glass.

I like the retc much better in the steiner. don't like the parallax on the DMR.

If buying blind I may just flip a coin or as mentioned get the one which has the retc you like better.
