Rifle Scopes Heads up on Leupold Mark 5 Kestrel rebate submissions

@hlee you might want to call Leupold if you’re at a week and @dirthead1 got his acceptance email the same day today. I think I have the lady’s direct number who handles the rebates in one of the emails, I could PM it to you if you’d like so you don’t have to go through the prompts.

Update 3:

Just received email that Kestrel had shipped. So 4-6 weeks was actually 1 day. If you are looking for a Mark 5, I highly recommend Liberty Optics. Their pricing can't be beat and this has proven that the rebate is valid if purchased through them.

Glad to hear that. I have a 3.6-18 coming from liberty. Between their prices and the kestrel deal it’s a no brainer

Got my 7-35x56 from liberty optics. I just filled out the rebate yesterday and got the email today that it was accepted so I can second this. Definitely give scot a call if you’re in the market for a mk5

1 day for my approval Email
2 days for my shipping notice
3 days later the Kestrel arrived
1 day to sell it on this forum (I already have a Kestrel 5700 Elite)
Here and gone in about a week.
Quickest and most painless rebate I've ever processed.
Oh ... and 1 day to buy extra ammo in case the Coronavirus mutates into a Zombie Virus.

I also ordered one Feb 18th Scott said it should ship this week but haven’t heard anything yet. Scott was a pleasure to deal with over the phone and heard good things here on the hide so I’m not worried... it’ll get here when it gets here.

I submitted my rebate on a Sunday. Monday I got an acceptance email, Tuesday I got shipping confirmation and had kestrel in hand the following Monday. 8 days. Now whats it worth cause I aint smart enough to run 2 programs?

I paid a very low price for my scope I submitted for the rebate a week ago and I have not heard back from them, except for the initial email saying they received my rebate request.
I paid 1800 for a mark 5hd 5-25 h59, from an authorized dealer. think I have anything to worry about?

So how happy are people with their Mk5s?
I shot out to one mile yesterday and the scope was perfection. I do think you need a lot of moa in the base to use the full elevation. the 5-25 is supposed to have 120 moa in elevation, I have 20 moa in the rail and 25 in my base and I have 29 mils (98 moa) of elevation. so there is still 22 moa I could gain.

I submitted my original rebate on 3/3 and received the confirmation email that said wait 2-3 weeks. I didn't receive any follow up messages after 3 weeks so I gave them a call yesterday. I was told they were about a week behind, so over 3 weeks was odd. Apparently something happened with my submission and it didn't get processed. I submitted the forms again through the website and the Leupold person had me email the info as well. Received confirmation today that rebate was accepted.

Moral of the story is give them a call and see what's going on.

Yep I submitted one of mine via email 3/23 and asked about it today and was told they had no record of it (I had the submission confirmation email), so I just re-emailed everything to them. I was also told that anyone who ordered before 3/15 but didn't get their scope before 4/15 and therefore rebate submitted by 4/15 was up shit creek, which may be me on another one I ordered 2/14.

I'm in that same shitty boat. Ordered 3/4 and still not shipped yet. First time I've ever spent over 600 on a scope and this is leaving really foul taste in my mouth. I feel like I'm going to get fucked over because THEY can't keep up with production. What's the point of offering a rebate on a product you can't deliver?

Dude thanks for posting this, I just called today and she said they are all caught up with the rebates now, and they had no record of mine even though I got a confirmation email. So she had me email it to them manually. [email protected]. To anyone else if you havent heard back on this definitely call!

I submitted on Monday and received an email this morning that it was approved . The email said to allow 4-6 weeks for delivery

This is why you guys should have ordered from an actual stocking dealer like Euro Optic that has a bunch of them sitting on the shelf instead of a dealer that stocks nothing and dropships them. Jason will cut you a deal too (just call), but no they can't operate on making $50 on a scope when they have actual overhead and are actually sitting on inventory. You would have paid a little bit more but you would have gotten it in time and avoided the stress of wondering if it's going to come in time and qualify for the rebate.

Thanks Mom, I'll know for next time. Nothing like a little browsing on the hide to remind me I'm a poor. Buying it from Scott was a stretch, put it in my card and paying it off next month. Most expensive glass I've ever bought by 2 fold. Without his price, I wouldn't have bought it. ?‍♂️

Just an update for anyone still waiting on their kestrel. I was one of the people that they lost their rebate approval. I emailed them asking for a shipping update and they gave the the standard 4-6weeks.....
“It appears your Kestrel is on order! Please allow 4-6 weeks for shipping from the date of the approval (4/1/2020).”

If I would have known liberty didn’t actually stock them I would have done this.
