ear pro, electronic

Anyone ever mess with these from midway?

Haven’t messed with them. But the price is right to try.

Personally, after trying custom molded in ear, I wouldn’t go with anything else.

Even if I couldn’t afford electronics, I’d get custom mold static plugs.

I was going to put some brand new NSN MSA Sordins on the EE. I have like 5 or 6 in the NSN box.

Has the boom mic, U94 connector. it's the older .mil version that was used with the low output Marine squad comms so only downside is the shielding on them isn't for people blasting 5-10W of power out of something. But if you want electronic ears I was going to blow them out.

I still have nightmares about wearing my Sordins under my helmet for days on end lol... Pretty sure I still have indents in my head lol. That being said, if you're not wearing a 10lb helmet... they're great muffs, especially with the gel inserts

these work great

and with these tips provide 30bd noise reduction

I have the otto and they work well but have gone back to double protection with price in ear and sordin active over top. Shooting under metal roof ranges and large brakes was to much for the in ear alone.

Does this mean you are able to double up with Ottos and Sordin's without problem? I didn't think you could use two electronic ear protections together, nice to know if possible.

Peltor Tactical 7s, one of the best ratings for the price and you can install a mic on it if you wanna go that route. Oldies but goodies. Do not confuse with 6s which has a much lower rating, wraps around the back and is noticeably thinner than 7s.

Peltor Comtac 3 but probably expensive and if you don't need the radio shit it probably ain't worth it. These work better than Comtac 4, another solution and one that uses ear plugs (attached to a headset with open ears). Odd but they work, just not as well for ear pro than the 3's or the 7s'.

Howard Leight Impact, cheap but reliable electronic ear pro for the range. These I think are and have been for quite some time the best budget ear pro.

I’ll have to look. Either the 60 or the 90’s.

Only regret is not getting the bluetooth. They are so comfortable, I’d wear them all the time.
My issue now is that I have to wear double ear pro or I'll feel exhausted after a range session with overhead metal cover. Would you say the 60 or 90s do a great job that you'd never need to wear muffs over the ears?

Anyone tried the decibullz ?

I just picked up a set. Found them locally
I really don’t mess around with hearing protection and since are started shooting rifles 15 years ago always doubled up hearing protection

I’ve been running electronic pelt it’s for 10 years typically foam plugs underneath but the decibulz seemed interesting.

they were very easy to mold and seem to make a very good seal

I’ll have to report back once I can get to arange to test

Let me do some more testing (haven’t had them long) and see if I can get under a canopy and try that too.

I really like mine. I have the first model as well if anyone wants to buy they just require new batteries almost every time. But they are cheap and I have a ton. These feel pretty good seal well and don’t cost 1200$
