Now, did the mainstream media ever emphasize the lower bound of the estimates? If course not. Did the various government entities provide the full range of estimates? Nope. Did anyone on the right wing provide a measured response to cherry-picked data? No. All of the above trafficed in hyperbole.
The models are not the problem. The deeply-flawed people twisting the models to advance their agendas are the real problem.
