I'm interested it should be cool because ford has no room to fuck up

I was holding out for the new Bronco for the past year, but the more I’ve read the more I’m not optimistic, so I ordered a Raptor SuperCab last Friday while I still could. The Bronco needs to be full size with F-150 running gear, but a Jeep wannabe on a Ranger chassis. I’m 6’5” and built like a lineman, I don’t fit in the Wrangler and I don’t fit in a new Ranger, so a new Bronco based on the Ranger is a non starter. I’ll be impressed if they offer a proper manual trans like can be had in the Wrangler. If the Bronco happens to be amazing maybe we’ll get one for the wife after I pay off the Raptor.

You'll love that raptor they are bad ass. At 6'5" you're really limited on vehicles that you fit in and ceiling fans you can walk under. On the other hand i'm 5'9" and have never met a car that didn't feel like it was made for me.

They'll screw it up by marketing it towards Soccer Mom's and Yuppies.

I want a no frills non-turbo V6 or V8, with manual transmission, skid plates, and towing package. The more basic, the better to keep cost down. I don't need leather, sunroof, Bluetooth, or any of that other horse shit, just give me what's needed to be off-road capable.

I’ve been waiting on this for so long I cannot even remember how long, probably a decade. Anyways I’d love to see it, love to own one, but I can’t now because Ford had to go and become “woke” and give money to these asshats rioting and doing all that bullshit. So no ford products for me, ever again. I was staying away anyways because every Ford ive ever owner was a POS. Even the so called nice ones. Now I will admit, Ford has come a long long way in 10 years or so. Lightyears ahead of what they used to be, but I just can’t and once they did the BLM thing, I was out for good. Same with Chick Fil A.

As a purist I would be ahead of the game to just buy a mint condition 70's Bronco.
I own a Jeep and the only reason I still have it around is because it's a mint condition LJ.

A mint condition 70's Bronco likely costs more than this new on will, nice ones start at $30K and up. It's one thing when you can buy an old truck for $3K and put 3K worth of mods on and have a nice wheelin rig, but those days are gone. My money is on the new one performing better in every way (except nostalgia) than the old shoebox. Nothing against the old one, but the new one will be faster, more capable, safer, more fuel efficient, etc.

I've got a buddy who spent $62K doing a restomod on his 1965 Shelby Fastback Mustang, our other buddy's $40K 2019 GT will wipe the floor with it while being more comfortable and safer.

And to think not even 10 years ago, I had a mint 68 Bronco that I couldn’t get rid of for $6k, dropped it to $5k, and still no one was interested. I don’t you can even get a broken down POS early bronco for less than $10k now.

I regret selling that thing everyday.

They fucked up the Ranger, an the Bronco will be no different according to the sales guy, I've dealt with for over 16 years at the local Ford shop. If we could buy the Rangers an Broncos sold over seas it would be a game changer, but being who we are & where we are, we just get a jar of Vaseline if we decide to be seen in one.
