I am not a big fan of the Elcan. Nice scope if you want to throw it out of an airplane or occasionally use it as a hammer and still have a working scope afterwards...but... I think the glass is not the best and FOV sucks. Yes, I have an OS4.

That particular Elcan is the Specter DR 1.5x/6x. Looks big, looks heavy, and... yeah that's about it. Big and heavy.

@buffalowinter So between a Elcan and a Trijicon ACOG, you might be more inclined toward the latter?

I think it just looks a bit off-color from the lighting. They have a rubber coating/covering, right? "Black" rubber tends to look greyish in some light at times. But it could be a copy.

Think youre right. It appeared a similar light gray that Ive seen some Russian optics come in. But I think its darker than it seems

I think I agree with you there. I've never seen one worse than that. Nor have I seen someone ask $5K for something that screwed up. A normal Johnson is $5K sometimes, but not an abomination like that...

Yup Ive seen some bad ones but this takes the cake easily... I cant even count the number of mods. And every single thing done to it is an abomination. I wonder if it might be a joke? Poor taste in humor if it is.

I do think the price is a joke by people, hiking it up to get the retard owner excited. No one is paying 5k for that, Id be surprised if you could give it away for parts with that paint on there...?
