We would play “spider box” on the steel and wood merry go round at the parks in my home town.
You had to drag a couple park benches over real close,, on opposite sides.
Then you put a mark in one of the sections of the merry go round. That was the spider box.
then get it going fast andJump on from the park bench. If it was the spider box you had a couple chances to jump back to the benches and back to the merry go round.
stuck in spider box meant you were out snd in charge of making it go fast.
A few stiches. I dont recall any broken bones.
Best was when dad would come spin it. So Fast!!!
