Okay before I start please if you don't own one if you've never shot one if you've never even stood behind one I don't really want to hear from you. I want to hear from people with the actual experience behind this scope. I'm not interested in guys that heard about it being the biggest turd in the toilet,

    Please only give me facts

Really? You didn’t get the message in the other thread you resurrected? Where the HMFIC came in and told you all you needed to know?

Good luck. You just opened a can of worms you don’t want...
Are you the guy that gave the in-depth analysis by saying "it sucks"?

Is there some reason you really want to find someone to validate your desire for this scope where there are lots of other top notch reliable scopes that people on this site gladly recommend? I mean with choices like ZCO, TT, S&B and others that are rock solid proven performers, why do you so badly want something that most on the site here will probably tell you to avoid?

Well here's something I haven't told you guys. I'm an active duty I get discounts pretty much anywhere I go for scopes. But when I emailed valdada
The owner of the company emailed me back right away. He set up a time to actually talk to me he went through the ballistics that would make it possible to shoot the distance I wanted with the rifle setup I had and he's willing to sell me this scope at his cost. And let me tell you I get a lot of people saying thank you for my service but usually I feel it's kind of like obligation more than actual gratitude with Val it seemed like there wasn't enough he could do for me.

We get it. You’re trying to validate your wanting to drop money on a scope that has a track record of not working/tracking worth a dang. When if you are what you say, you can get a proven scope, like a Vortex 3-18 or even the 4.5-27, that has not only a good record, but some of the best CS in the industry.

So then enlighten me there and tell me what he was asking about?

The scope he's asking about, this Valdada G2, if I recall correctly, is made by LOW Japan. They also make the Cronus, Delta Stryker and Tract Toric scopes mentioned by Koshkin. Perhaps even the same scope model, by different names.

If it's a piece of junk, that implies that LOW deliberately made it to a shittier spec, just for Valdada. Or perhaps, it means the Cronus, Delta Stryker and Tract Toric are peices of shit too.

Valdada is an importer, not a manufacturer.

And LowLight just recently had one in his class that wouldn’t hold its own with tracking, and given their history, your money is spent on better, proven optics. But if he wants to spend his money on something like this, all power to him.

Edited to add in pic so there’s no confusion.

If they are giving you a really good deal on it, then it may well be worth it.
The prices they want new for everybody else don't seem worth it, especially with the resale value.

However if you are getting a really good discount to where it makes amazing financial sense, then go for it.

The scope in that pic is an older IOR scope.

It is not a Valdada G2 Recon. Made on a different continent.

This is the G2 Recon, From Midway USA:

Not close at all in appearance the the scope in that pic.

Missing the forest for the trees. $2895 for that? You can get a S&B for cheaper, let alone the fact IOR has a shoddy past, regardless of it being made by LOW. If you wanna spend that kind of money, well good luck to you.

So, you read my last post and came away thinking that I was recommending that he purchase this scope?

I mention that IOR and LOW have nothing to do with each other, and you understood it as a recommendation that he buy this scope?

Would you be willing to explain the following quote? "IOR has a shoddy past, regardless of it being made by LOW"

I'm not quite following you on that one.

Valdada is a US based importer. He buys shit from overseas, and resells it in the US.

IOR is a Romanian optics manufacturer. LOW is a Japanese scope manufacturer.
Valdada, IOR and LOW are 3 seperate entities, each on a different continent.

LOW doesn't make scopes for IOR.

Valdada buys stuff from various companies, including IOR and LOW, amongst others and re-sells it in the US.

Here's a thread from a couple years ago that may be more helpful than what has been posted here so far.

so, it's worth twice as much since it comes with a 40mm tube instead of 34mm? I know girth is important especially for IOR fanbois but .... damn ... an extra 6mm really can make it twice as good I guess haha

Did you read somewhere in my post that I thought it was worth the price?

You may have heard that, but I didn't say it.

I don't own anything from Valdada. I couldn't care less about their products.

I meant what was typed out, nothing more. No deeper, underlying meaning. Some of you guys think like women.

So, what's the correct implication when someone claims that several consumer products are of substantially similar quality/performance and share a common design and manufacturer but out of the multiple products in this category, one is substantially more expensive than all of the others?

There is no implication. I don't make implications. The actual words typed, and their meaning exist alone. I implied nothing further.

I did not address its value per price point, nor did I imply it. Had it been priced at $3, or $10,000, my post would have been the same.

So I was in Nebraska drinking recently and the bartender was Gay, (not there is anything wrong with that, just stating a fact) and we routinely closed the bar since most of the townies rolled up around 11PM. The last night we took a deep dive into his Gayness and asked him what he liked about Dick? Girth was his number one answer ...

I think I need to add a word replacement when guys ask about IOR / Valdada, something sweet, maybe a bit sexy, hmm, wonder what that might be?
