VALDADA G2 Recon NEW VADADA CONTENT

What I think is so funny about these threads about IOR Valdada, is that the guys that want them so bad are all the same. It doesn't matter what advise or experiences we give them, there's no talking them out of it. We should all just say they're the greatest scope on the planet and move on. Let them learn for themselves.

You see that's where you're wrong. Sure there's been a lot of guys out there saying that this is a piece of crap. but not one I repeat not one person has said I have on this scope , I have shot this scope I have looked through this glass. The only one that comes close is the gentleman that did a review of them 10 years ago.

Hey thank you for those sites I didn't even know they existed. I did go to each one of them though and the only thing I could find about Valada was on longrangehunting.com. and I couldn't find anything bad they said .Maybe that's because I looked up Valadada . And not ior.
Look I know I'm beating a dead horse but when I was looking for a new scope I emailed quite a few companies. And Valdada responded immediately(on Sunday) and it wasn't a customer representative it was the president and owner of the company Val. And then he called me. I'm in the military and I know that has no bearing here but he asked me what I did for a living and I told him we spent maybe 5 or 10 minutes talking about my military experience before we even started talking about a scope. I know that really doesn't mean a lot and it doesn't mean anything about his quality of his product but it was important to me.

Look man,

I cannot comment on the scope thing but I'll offer this advice.

For your own sake,

Stay away from women.

The owner stroked you over a telephone.

An actual live woman will ruin your life.

True story 👍

Dude,

Just walk away on this.

These guys are doing you a favor, most are salty fuckers, that's a bonus imho.

But you're not going to gain anything slinging mud on a bunch of old, bitter fuckers who know their trade.

Savvy?

Now that is Sage advice. I was kind of starting to like the humiliation I was getting on this site. Kind of like having sex with a fat girl... Great when it's happening but a sense shame and hollowness afterwards. I'm sure you army guys can sympathize.

Roger that 😎

@Michael W

For the love of God, just go buy the scope already!

Then get out and shoot with it.

If you are getting as much of a discount on it as you are implying, it would be a cheap risk, as if you don't like it, you could probably get most / all your money back on eBay or Gunbroker or some other site.

Then you can come back here and talk about how your shooting with the .22LR and 300 yards + goes and post group shots and such.

Not only has he already bought the Val, he’s already living with a stripper from just off base... ;) :p :ROFLMAO::cry::LOL:

Dont you dare talk about my Trixxy like that (the second x is silent ,she is classy like that )

I have found myself strangely interested in this thread.

Self flagellation is weirdly.... interesting.
😁

Hang in there Michael, I feel the winds changing.

Okay apparently it is not absolutely necessary to know anything about this scope to have an opinion so here's my review
It totally kicks ass... Possibly

I am not any sort of famous, and no thanks.

In all the time I have been reviewing optics, there have been very few cases when someone tried to bribe me into giving a good review. Val was one of those and that is when I stopped talking to him. Then, I ran into an issue that if I got a scope to look at directly from Val, it often looked different than a scope sourced from somewhere else.

You see where I am going with this, right?

Why should I spend any more time on Val or IOR?

I get hit up with requests to review IOR or Valdada frequently which is mostly a testament of the reach that T-Rex has on Youtube. That itself is a testament to the fact that you do not need to know anything about scopes to sound like an authority on Youtube.

I have no insight whether IOR got better over the years, but given the sordid history it would take me a lot of time and effort to procure a sufficient number of scopes, test them and come up with an accurate assessment.

Given how many reputable brands exist now, why would I want to do that?

ILya

thanks information like that would have been useful before I signed the 7-year endorsement deal with the guy... All kidding aside that's useful information and it kind of shows what kind of character you have by not just saying that right off the bat. I like the "if I can't say anything good I don't say anything at all" I truly respect that

Is it safe to assume you have decided against IOR yet??!!

The scope you should be taking a chance on is the new March 5-42x56 HighMaster. It has 40 mils of elevation travel and focuses down to 10 yards.

Ordered and I'll know first hand about it in a month or so, yes I'm looking forward to it!

BTW I have a S&B 5-25 I'll sell you....

Michael,

I recently tried out a 4-28 40mm recon IOR from a fellow shooter on the line out to 1k.. Only reason I did this to see how an IOR could cost over 3K. I owned an IOR 10 years ago and never had interest for another since and only thing I own now from IOR is an old set of binos.
The optics on the IOR wasnt bad but not anything to write home about either especially for the price.
Several of us agreed the 6-24 Vortex AMG had marginally better optics than this IOR scope including the owner of the IOR.
A schmidt and bender 5-25 on hand was also optically better than this IOR scope.
The scope tracked fine which is to be expected from a newish 3k plus dollar scope but for how long?
I think there are much better options but its your money and FYI Val has been known to be of questionable character when it comes to customer service.

I don't think so and I'll tell you why. Cuz if you and I were at the beach one day with our shirts off and somebody saw that we had matching tramp stamps I don't know if I could live with myself

See its pretty simple I need to change these guys minds about Valdada scopes ,and after they all join team Valdada ..I will tell them that Valdada stinks start Telling them I'm a NightForce fan . This will drive the price of NightForces down so I can afford one .
