That's about 50k screw up, nothing like peeling the bottom out of a bucket.
I don't have a huge collection like @Lawless but I do love a safety razor shave.View attachment 7431038
You need to carve a bat or something out of that tree! SirhrCame back up to the farm and went for a walk on one of the trails. I found a 100’ chestnut oak that has apparently been struck by lightning.
I noticed all the strips of bark on the ground first. It was in different widths from 4” to 1/2” and various lengths. It was out as far as maybe 30’ from the tree.
I then saw the tree. Bark was stripped off all the way to the top on just one side and there is a 3/4” wide groove, about 1/2” deep, straight as a string all the way up as far as I can see.
This happened over the last few days as I was at this spot Sunday morning before I went back to finish up some jobs at “home”.
Pretty amazing.

That kid is one snappy dresser!!
I got nothing against dogs... just that dogs give unconditional love. Cats make you work for it. I find that appealing.

Walk in with head high and clenched jaw.
Ok. I'll try and face it more like ......Walk in with head high and clenched jaw.

I have a silver maple about 15 yards behind my house that I saw get hit about 7 years ago. I saw sparke fly and thought it hit my metal building. It split it from top to bottom and blew bark everywhere. It is coming down this fall. The power of lightning is amazing.
Yeah, my old iPhone 6Did you take this yourself ? I love the color quality, would be nice to know what camera or phone was used.
And a nice Hen of the Woods just off one of my trails.
Wicked cool picture actually!
