I know that Nikon is low tier but for a 223 bolt gun for my kids to shoot with out to 200 yards. Any opinions ??? Looking at a few on sale at euro optic.

Just make sure to get the later 30mm version. The turrets on the 1" ones were real wobbly. I have one on my ar10. I did not track test it but use the bd reticle most of the time

The new version isn’t wobbly my son has a 3-9x 1” and is great for a hunting scope on his 6.8spc. I have a couple of the m-tactical in 3-12x and are great for ar’s and such and a fx1000 on a 308 bolt gun that is actually very nice. The m-tactical marks on the dial don’t always line up perfectly when you dial out very far. That is the only complaint I really have.

The FX1000 are great scopes. Side by side, glass is as good as my Leupold VX3

I agree the FX 1000 series are great glass and track very well. I have Several Vortex , Leupold etc... they are priced well below anything comparable in glass quality

I am new to scopes. I know that Nikon stopped making scopes but are their scopes really considered low tier?

I just purchased three new 2019 30mm tube M-Tactical scopes. They don't seem like they're low tier. What did I miss? I know I have alot to learn, but I just spent $870 dollars, and these scopes seem amazing. Is there going to be an "I told you so moment" in my future?

Yes the M scopes and Monarch scopes are low tier. The FX-1000 scopes are a huge step up. For 3-400 they are a great deal for someone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money. That said I like my Nikon Monarch just fine for what i use it for. 300yard pbr zeroed varmint machine. A lot of thing could be better, but I don't spend much time looking though it. That is what binoculars are for. 😂

You will have to PM a mod or report you post and ask them to move it. The likely hood they will just see it and move it is low.

Keep in mind Nikon is no longer making rifle scopes so if anything goes wrong they can't/won't replace them just give you some money to go find a new one just FYSA. I have their M-223 and M-308 and they work great for me.
