The difference here was the Sky News reporters motive for asking about metadata. She did so to debunk the US news media's false claim that these were hacked emails & missing the metadata was evidence thereof. She then proceeded to allow Bannon to completely debunk the BS. That doesn't happen here sadly.

A) Giuliani is really putting together a rock fucking solid case, and taking his time with everything, that's why we're still waiting for everything.
2) Trump thinks there's a chance he could lose, either because of election fraud, or that there are that many brainwashed people to vote him out, and he's holding on to the rest to fight his way back in, or throw in everyone's face once Biden is president
D) ASGH.
I hope for everyone's sake though, that this is too big for nothing to happen. The mainstream media has helped shape half the world, with everyone either standing for freedom (trump supporter) or against it (biden supporter). CBC and Global news are posting more trump hate than what's actually going on in Canada. Sky news in Australia is regularly talking about and defending Trump, as I'm sure their left wing media is doing the same as Canada's. The Daily Mail has regular Trump news. I see news from the other world leaders, but nothing like this. Everyone is watching this right now. Something has to happen.

Attribution is a very different thing than determining the integrity and traceability of the hard drive's data.
Attribution needs correlation across multiple sources... which they won't have.
The metadata will tell exactly when it was created, copied, moved; who put it there, how it got there, and usually what equipment it was recorded on. It will also tell if it was 'placed' there after the fact. It's up to a competent forensic examiner to connect the dots in a way that stands up to legal scrutiny- and that's the wrinkle in the foolproof part. Ones and Zeros cannot lie, but people do.
The sad part about it is that Rudy doesn't have the metadata, his image is tainted (unless John MacIsaac knew *exactly* what he was doing). Only the FBI has that now. smh.
Yeah, I think people do not realize at this point any of it can be manipulated in ways that are basically "untraceable". But in this case the NSA would be the one who has the true original "metadata", for anything that traversed the internet.
Photos are a different story. Those can be analyzed for tampering, as far as the actual image is concerned. But even this is getting much more difficult.
