Hunting & Fishing 2020 Hunting Thread: Post Your Kills!

One doe tonight. A little different for the Hide as I love to bow hunt. Entry and exit posted respectively. I shot her for the drop (string jump) at 25 yards and she never did. Broke the on side leg and exited the far scapula. Lungs and heart. She ran 45 yards.

Excellent job!!! DIY , drop camp, guided ?
DIY. My best friend lives in one of the villages way down there, its pretty remote, brown bears and wolves wonder through town periodically. Of course, he HAD to go to church instead of hunting that morning.... Shot the second one at 30 yards, while taking apart the first one (we’re allowed 3 this year). Suppressors really mess with them 😁. After that pack out, I’m a stone glacier pack convert.

Nice work yourself! One of my bucket list hunts is diy elk. That’s a great pic by the way, wall hanger for sure.

Well it’s been a long 3 years trying to seal the deal, but on Halloween day ended up getting this bull down. Found him across a draw with his lady friends. 142 gr ABLR out of my Tikka CTR did the trick. First elk, 7x7, and I don’t really know how I will be able to top this one.

Also I totally forgot it was Halloween when I came back, was greeted by a street full of trick or treaters. Got out of the truck with blood on my clothes and body only to be complimented by a few people passing by that my “costume” was very realistic.

My first deer. Came close to frostbite for him. Soaked my feet/legs crossing a river that was deeper than I thought, then sat for almost two hours in 25 degrees. My gun’s chassis was freezing to my pants 😝 🥶 Worth it all though. Beautiful animal, 185 lbs dressed.
