Is this reliable ？ does the impact affect coti ?
It’s serviceable on a 5.56. I only used it a few times. Maybe 30 rounds total. Obviously, it’s not very robust and probably won’t withstand long term use. Just make sure everything is cinched down tight with zero play. I doubt O1 would honor the warranty if they found out. The PAS-29 certainly ain’t weapon-rated.
What is the next iteration of fused beyond COTI? And is there an iteration beyond that? Another way to say it is - what is the bleeding edge of fused like?

COTI is ancient tech. Real fusion began with the PSQ-20. That was a somewhat poor, but decent evolutionary step up from COTIs. The latest iteration of ENVG/FWSI tech is bonkers good. A real game changer. It’s still not perfect, but we finally have a real sense of where things are going. Add in AR, and the capabilities seem endless.
Latest ENVG-B is considerably improved over the 36’s. Considerably.
I disagree. I think the envg true fusions are the wrong direction. I think the two sensors need to stay separate so we can upgrade them independently since they’re two very different technologies that will evolve at different paces
At this point I don’t think i2 is getting any better so they should just get 31’s and keep upgrading their coti’s until some neato digital i2 tech starts working
There’s gonna be a day soon where they’re gonna want some Android bullshit and a computer onboard their nvg’s and with the envg-b, the retrofit option won’t be as appealing vs upgrading the coti on 31’s
