Is this a decent rangefinder ? For engaging out to 1200 yards

I don’t have experience with the 1600, but if it’s like the 1200, it should work. My 1200 took a big crap right after the warranty. Electronics started getting finicky and would sometimes power on or give me a low battery warning with a fresh battery. Leupold will work with you after and credit some costs towards a new one. Just not sure if I want to go leupold again. My 1200 i was able to get reflective to 1k no problem.

specs for the 1600 should be no problem if ranging steel at 1200. I think you should be good to go if you choose Leupold. Aside from my issues with that series, theyre great.

I think you’re asking a lot of the 1600 and will get spotty performance.

I can tell you the 2800 laughs at 1200 and can often be found in that price range.
