Installing Triggertech Special into Bighorn Origin, Do I need to remove bolt release?

I recently purchased this trigger tech special on sale from SAP (pictured) and plan to install it on my bighorn origin barreled action when I get it back from bugholes in the coming weeks.

Since this trigger tech has a bolt release which the origin does not need I was wondering whether I am required to remove the triggers bolt release prior to install? If I dont have to I would be happy to leave it in place. I will be dropping it all into a KRG X ray.

Thank you! I am wondering whether I need to remove it though or if I can just leave it be. If it can be installed without removal that would be my preference.

It doesn’t have to be removed. Only if you wish too. I left it on my Giessele 700 and been running it for two year without an issue.

Most non comp triggers come with them since they can be removed. Factory rem 700 actions still dominate the market by a large margin.

I have used a TT that had a bolt release on an Origin. I just removed it and replaced the c clip and never had an issue with the trigger, but as otherS have said it will function just fine with it on or off.

If your lucky your origin and Trigger tech will fit in your X-ray without needing to remove anything from it’s trigger area. There was a post about that a day or so back.

why do you say there would be a rattle?

I've had the button rattle or more like a click noise when you touch it not having the pressure from the bolt stop. I guess you could tighten the screw so it doesnt move .
