Dumb scope question

I was just curious if the concussion affected it after a while. Thanks for the answer.
If its a scope from a decent mfg you will be fine

Scopes internal tracking mechanisms can wear out over time but recoil/concussion itself shouldn't cause an issue if it's from a reputable mfg

Not unless you don’t have it torqued down correctly and it jostled around with each shot. Even then if it’s a half decent scope it shouldn't effect it much
Ya, I’d assume that could cause several problems. It’s going on a 6.5 CM so I’m pretty sure it’s not going to get a ton of concussion. The reason for the question is that I’m looking to buy one and used is more friendly on the pocket book. I can get a really good used one in my price range. I just have to figure out if I want MIL or MOA. Seems to be an argument there with this group. Thanks for replying.

yeah I get what you mean. Good choice in caliber though, I have a 6.5 creedmoor and love it.
Yeah the mil vs moa debate is complicated. Tbh tho it is personal preference. I went with mils due to the conversion rate being easier and a bit more accurate. With moa people tend to round it to 1 inch per 100 yards (mil is 3.6”) , it’s actually 1.047. It’s not a lot (.047 every 100 yards) but that adds but the further you shoot. Not a huge deal and you can get away with it but mils is easier for me math wise, I’m really bad at math lol

In the end you get what you pay for. Buy once cry once.
Oh I get that man and that’s usually the thing in life. However, I’ve seen a Mercedes Benz be a price of shit and a Toyota Corolla run for decades. Now, rather the continued concussive effects on a scope affects the internal mechanics of a scope, is more what I’m wondering. It’s all regarding a purchase of a used NF optic if that helps.

Nightforce scopes carry a transferable limited lifetime warranty. Buy the scope. Don’t buy the scope. Whatever. Don’t worry about things that are not issues. If the price is right, and the scope is right, buy it. Send it to NF IF you have an issue.

See,
That’s what I’m looking for. $1500 takes a minute for some of us to gather up and I simply want the best bang for the buck. Thant’s not going to get me a new F1 scope, but I just built a 6.5 CM and want to bang out to 1K or more accurately and consistently.

You still going on with this? Let it go. It's not an issue as has been said repeatedly.

You're obviously new at this. There are about a thousand other things you need to learn that are far more important.

Pay the $18 for the online training before you buy. The education will answer many questions for you and save you money instead of buying twice. And the answer is Mil.

It’s a dumb questions forum so don’t pipe up any more dude. I’ll ask the questions I need and comment as I need. You feel the need to be a dick, do it with someone else. Lastly, I am knew to long gunning past 500 with out optics, but I do hold a USMC range high record and am distinguished in the army, so new but not so new.

Thank you. I shot mill in Afghanistan but wanted a quick answer from the guys that are in the know. I appreciate your time.

If you do the online training you will see Mil is easier. Went to Frank and Marc's class this past summer and they asked everyone which they were using. No one was using MOA. They were pleased with this.
Everyone was on the same page, the math was easier, corrections, calls, data, everything just simplified.

Cool story bruh
