F UPS and the UPS Store

ups stores are in no way affiliated with UPS. my wife works for ups, has for 21 years. There is no problem shipping anything gun related thru them. I get guns, scopes, powder , etc weekly thru them. No problems. I also ship exclusively thru them. They will require the box to be open when i drop it off, after inspecting the contents, they seal it and print and put their own label on it. Easy peasy.

How is it even possible for them to collect packages for UPS?

In 2001, UPS purchased Mail Boxes Etc. and MBE locations were subsequently rebranded as The UPS Store.

All The UPS Stores are independently owned by franchisees and the brand has a marketing & services agreement with UPS.

This differs from FedEx Kinkos, which are all corporately owned by FDX.

All ammo and firearms must go to the hub. My hub is staffed by people mostly women who are not too swift and I know the rules better than they do. They just smile and say OK as I lift the heavy box of ammo on the conveyor for them. UPS also has new labels for ORM-D
as an FYI starts Jan. 1

I ship at a UPS store all the time, and the people who work there are pro guns, but the policy of the individual owned store is very strict. They told me they had to ask as that it is their individual store policy and if they violate the rules they're fired. But they don't have to open the box or check anything. So he said make sure you prepackage it.

Every time I bring something in, I always say "machined parts". That covers basically.. everything.

I just log onto my FedEx account, print out a label, and request a pickup the next day. FedEx driver picks it up and delivers no problem.
Although today the driver was FedEx Express and my barreled action was labeled FedEx Ground, which he said he couldn’t pick up. So I drove over to the FedEx store and dropped iron the counter where they tell you to. Checked the account tonight and it’s on its way to Alterra. No problem.
