2016 I shot the Lone Survivor Foundation match in Navasota, TX. One of the R.O.s was a friend of mine. I said what squad am I in? He said wherever you want. This one is a bunch of dudes from Louisiana, you'll have fun.
Seven guys from Louisiana, one from Mississippi, and me an another Texan. We had a fucking blast! Those guys were hilarious! There's some good people in Louisiana.
We pay "them" to go away!

For over 20 years, I worked as a technical trainer in Plaquemine, LA and Lake Jackson, TX. I'd typically go there 3 times a year, sometimes 5. I'd try to sync one of them with the week before the Jazz Fest, then stick around for the party. Some of the best eating on the planet is Gulf seafood. I'd often go to Mike Anderson's and get the broiled seafood platter with a big Abita Amber, or two or four. I had a few friends in the New Orleans area so I've eaten at a bunch of hole-in-the walls all over LA. Great times, I miss it. Awesome people, awesome music, big fun.
I'm not a big fan of the hottest days of the year in LA or TX. I'd sweat like a stuck pig. Not to be confused with a squealing pig.
No matter where Im at on this planet, I always find myself ready to get back to Louisiana as soon as possible.
Also, I am motivated to do some shooting! Just got these for my 6.5 CM. Trying them out with my 18" 7:5 barrel
