I have. Biden is terrible on almost everything he has an opinion on. Trump is significantly worse. You seem to be misunderstanding me and are working admirably to have me defend claims I've never made. It's cute, but also a great demonstration of some of the more deeply rooted issues at play. I'm just waiting on the Lion and Tin Man to show up at this point.
Aligning gun rights explicitly with a political party and not working to build enthusiasm and advocacy within the opposing party (or at least their constituents) is a mistake, particularly when the demographic trends of the favored party have suggested its ever increasing irrelevance. This doesn't mean Dems like your rights, obviously they don't, but it does mean you should focus on more than one front if you want long term success. But please, continue preaching to the choir and wondering why the congregation is shrinking. Be sure to hitch your wagon to issues that have nothing to do with 2A advocacy as well, that'll give you more room to maneuver and maximize your impact.
It's more tangentially related, but I'd check out Kilcullen's "Out of the Mountains: The Coming Age of the Urban Guerilla" for some insights into the types of mistakes I see being made.

99% of everything said here in regards to the site is wrong but whatever, I think people just like pushing each others buttons and sites and social media make it all too easy to not get punched in the face, so we see an increase in idiot posts.
I don't think there is any grand conspiracy against the site, (except from competing gun groups) sure a few wander in, will rat some of you mouthier types out to the government but they get you are just venting in most cases. Don't post a picture of your car loaded with guns and ammo headed to rally and I think you are okay otherwise.
We are under attack politically that is Macro vs the Microcosm of this place. You'd be smarter to mount a series of defenses where the other side can't point to your stupid posts and say, "See I told you", I tend to think about that part...
But we are not under specific attack, beyond the telegraphed 2A stuff they talk about every time, that is real, and we potentially blew it.

It's changing probably Monday I will have all these posts removed and you will only be able to talk politics in the 3 threads I posted or in the Private areas..

I'm all for seeing less political rhetoric going on here. Michelle Obama already spoke about shutting down social networks that spread hate and/or violence..... I'd think all of us would rather have what Frank started this for us in the first place! Venting the political BS going on could be our downfall? Look how what happened this week in DC was spun? BLM and ANTIFA would still be their PROTESTING, TRASHING, AND BURNING anything in their path! Not gone in 90 minutes either! That's a fact, but they don't care to compare that now do they!
We could however post what Laws or Bills are coming up and for a way and/or means to prevent them, and as a way for people to be informed about what's going on. I have a friend on FB and most of her posts are Laws coming up in the State of Washington and she lists the phone numbers of who to call, or email and even form letters just to make it easy.
The Cliche "Talk is cheap" may now be more so than ever, while "Actions speak louder than words" and a means and ways to get done what's important to US as Americans will be our only way out of what's ahead?

They noticed I was bow hunting, and my friend overheard them saying "lets mess up their hunting and make a lot of noise". Which they did.... I made the mistake of just thinking they'd ski on by and soon be on their merry way? I didn't want to get down from my tree stand and "have a talk".
I did though on their way back stop and have a chat with this guy and his wife......But this guy didn't believe I was the owner and wanted me arrested! Well when the cops arrived he was issued a ticket for trespassing, and I got the DNR involved for hunter harassment. Doing something within the confines of the law isn't always easy, but it can have a lasting effect.
There's more Bills that get passed then days in the year that affect everyone of us in some way...... The story of the American dream was my life as a child, what happens from here on out is anyones guess

There has to be some sort of political talk. Right wing political talk is all but being banned in normal social media sites and the news won’t talk about. Places like this are going to be the last hold outs of free exchange of information. How else will masses learn about possible gun bans and anti gun legislation? With out this site and a couple you tubers I would have never known that the ATF was actively trying to ban pistol braces a couple weeks ago. At the point we are no longer allowed to post anything right wing politics on the internet the time to gather together to stop it has already passed. We can’t self sensor to serve our overlords.

I respect the fact you are concerned about the impact of *some* new posters. However, for those who have just got into long-range shooting, this seems a bit excessive. Politics is already a "good old boy club", those who are new here don't want to be excluded. Like all limits, they need to be sensibly evaluated. If someone steps over the line, then certainly it is reasonable to react. Even though I have no actual say in the decision, and it has an underlying concern it addresses, it seems a bit tough on the newbies (like me).
We have reached a point in all online media where it can be tough to talk about politics, and in many other forums (facebook, twitter, etc), you SURE don't want to discuss guns OR even the second amendment (or you may end up on some activists radar). It is nice to have a place where the conversation is less limiting. I hope this does not change.

This is an informational platform to discuss shooting and precision rifles, it‘s not a political site
The fact we allow it, is because of the attacks on our 2A rights, however that does not mean we need to wade into every political debate imaginable, hence the compartmentalizing of those topics.
As noted, there are people on here who’s job sensitivities can be a problem in this political climate. The conversations about the politics of the PRS will not get them in trouble, neither will discussing the Quick Change barrel systems out there, but talking about Red / Blue politics can...
Watch as these social media sites limit conservative speech, you are gonna see another run on forums as they start to shut gun groups down. That is next, this is just the first shot in a long war.
It should not be lost how quickly this happened, wait until the agenda narratives start, they already told you guns in all forms are on the chopping block. They want the internet closed off to all things gun related, this crack down is just the first step. Testing the limits, and clearly there is none, they took out the Presidents account.

I think everyone here completely understands where you are coming from and it’s unfortunate that conservative speech is being suppressed. I would rather see politics banned than anything happen to this site. This site is my and many others primary source for learning about rifle shooting and equipment. I just wish our 2A rights weren’t being threatened. I personally have never quite felt as though our 2A might go away or be severely limited as I do now. We now have a president that has openly campaigned that he wants our right to bear arms severely limited. Scary times

I've grown suspicious of new accounts where their first questions aren't the typical "Mils vs Moa" and "What scope should I buy" but they dive right into political threads and take contrary positions.
Definitely going to be an increase in baiting moving forward and we all need to not take the bait.
on our private forum (our pilots association) we experienced (the past 3 years) fellow SJW pilots sending forum threads to management and the NAACP with the goals to get folks fired and the forum chat board shutdown. All to silence anybody who disagrees with the socialists way of government control
